Not too shabby.

Of course, I don't have to go out for Asian food. Nothing quite like getting a good home cooked meal...

Fried Wontons, Bulgogi, Tempura Shrimp, Chapchae, Ojingo Bokkeum, Kimchee, and some good, old fashioned Southern Style Potato Salad.

Man, I'd like to try all of that stuff. And the potato salad sounds especially appealing: it reminds me of summer, which is the absolute opposite of what we'll be dealing with this week (starting in a few hours). If I had somebody feeding me stuff like that, I'd have to trade off my Mustang for an '89 Buick Roadmaster station wagon, just so I could get in it.

Ohhh, that's just the start...

One thing I absolutely love about my wife is the fact that she can cook almost anything. She's Korean, so Asian food comes naturally, but she can cook French, Italian, Tex-Mex, and good old fashioned American comfort food, all equally well. She loves cooking so much that her New Years Resolution was to learn a new recipe every week.

Tonight's delight was homemade Chicken Pot Pie.

Yup. It's either I'm cooking or hoping like hell my mom has cooked something lately. I only live a few houses down from moms.

It's a miracle that I'm not fat. Somehow I manage to stay a bit on the skinny side.

Don't know how though.

New Years Dinner.... Steak, fried shrimp, corn casserole, tossed salad with apple and pecans, mashed potatoes, and fresh fruit. The chocolate pie isn't in the picture.

Had my favorite cold weather meal. Bowl of homemade chili with rice, a peanut butter and jelly sammich and a cold glass of milk.

Yep. When I was a kid and we had chili at school they always served it with a peanut butter sammich. Still love it to this day.
