Never heard of that either. Only thing close to something like that is a sauce my aunt makes for those little cocktail weenies that has grape jelly in it. Don't know that I've ever tried it, just heard her talk about making it.

No, I don't eat stew over rice; just by itself. It's full of enough stuff already, and I prefer stew with homemade yeast rolls.

However, the reason I don't eat stew over rice is because of having subsisted for about a year on Louisiana food in New Orleans. I eat gumbo, boudin and jambalaya with rice.

Again, same concept just not nearly that much jelly. Just enough to give it a hint of sweet with the spicy

No no no. The big king crabs and snow crabs I like steamed. Regular blue crabs we boil with lots of spices. Otherwise they taste like dirt.

Were they those big reds y'all got over there? Those are my highlight of going to the coast. Can't get them here.

They are a lot better out your way. The gulf here is pretty dirty and you can tell the difference. They are a lot cleaner and sweeter over there.

That's a staple of good stew. I've had friends ask me how I create the gravy instead of it being watery, and I tell them I use a roux.
