When you renew a contract it's considered a "new contract" so the computer automatically changes you to a 2gb month plan. The sales rep has no control over it.

People were saying it worked for them in the comments. I'm still gonna give it a try.

Good luck but it could be possible. One of my co-workers is with AT&T and it works the same way. He managed to upgrade his iPhone a while back and kept unlimited. It may all depend on who you get doing the processing.

Finally got to the Verizon store tonight. Still stuck between the Maxx and moto x. Sorta leaning Maxx though for more storage and better battery. Keyboard was a little easier to type on too with it being larger.. The moto x felt a bit better in my hand though.

Did play with an iPhone 5s for a minute. Just didn't feel right in my hand though and the screen is sooooo small. And the pastels hurt my eyes. I'm sticking with android.

Tough call there, but i'd lean towards the Maxx. The X seems like it's more gimmicks along with a smaller screen, smaller battery, less memory and higher price. AT&T does have a 32 gig X. They have the card you buy to order is customized, but it doesn't show up on their website.

The screen on my Optima G Pro is 5.5" and a big screen is nice. At times it feels too big and i'd like a little smaller and the 5.0 may be a good size. I haven't seen the Maxx in person yet to be able to tell.

You could always hold out and see what the Moto G is.

The moto G is rumored to be a cheaper version of the moto x.

I hear that too, but at the same time it was mentioned that the price of the X has been dropped $100, so how cheap can the G be? I've also seen it could be a bigger version of the X. The G can be for grand, or even for Google.

Ya, I was hoping they were dropping the price for a model with 32GB. I've also heard sales haven't been what they expected either.

Verizon doesn't have it yet though. They've still got it at $199.

Maxx is down to $99 on amazon but I can't upgrade through amazon cause we have a stinking business contract. I can't even buy one off verizon's site because my verizon won't work for businesses with more than 10 devices and we're apparently not eligible to sign up for the business site.

Hello Dennis, you're probably the smartest person I know about this stuff. From another thread....

Any help? Any advice that you can give in a form simple enough for a dumb**** like me to understand?

If you want to rename them after you "record" them into Sync, then the answer is no. If the CD info isn't in the Gracenote part of Sync, then you're going to have no name displaying like you already know.

You CAN rip the CD onto your computer and use programs like Media Player to get the info you need and put it into the .mp3 file. You would then burn a "data" disc and just play the .mp3's from a CD or DVD. That will display the right file names then. One bad thing about Sync that people complain about is people want to "record" the .mp3 disc to the Sync hard drive. For reasons unknown to anyone, they never made that option available. You can only "record" to the Sync hard drive from a music CD.

The other option is to just abandon trying to use the internal hard drive. It's only 10 gig. Just get yourself a 16 gig memory stick and copy all your music on to that. Then just plug it in to the USB port in your center console and play from there. When you want to add music, just pull it out, add it, and plug it back in. You can also do like I did and dig into the hidden USB2 port in case you use the main one for charging a phone or whatever.

Probably not the way you want to go, but it's the only way around it.

If you do go the memory stick route, be sure to put your music into folders.

Artist 1
-- Album 1
-- Album 2
Artist 2
-- Album 1
Artist 3
-- Album 1

It'll make things easier to find and play.

Can you not put mp3's from a flash drive to the hard drive either?

There's no option for it. If there is a way, i'm unaware of it.

That's completely worthless. What format does it rip from an audio cd? Maybe it only likes wav files/etc?

You don't see the actual files it rips. If it knows the CD, you get the album name, song name, track number, and album cover image. If not, you get the default track number, and file names that say something like "unknown", and a date and time.

It works okay for an older commercial CD collection, but time consuming ripping each and every CD.

If you have newer CD's then there is no info to pull from. I think the Gracenote info comes with a Sync update, but when Ford takes over a year to put out updates, even more useless.
