They're relatively new...still in beta last I checked. That's why I said they're still working out the kinks. They use Wi-Fi for everything, including phone calls.

I heard of that one. Just looked it up. $20 a month and they want you to use wifi, but when none around it uses the Sprint network.

Yeah. Seems like a good idea, since I'm almost constantly around Wi-Fi.

Just ordered a new build for my friend's dad from newegg. Went with a ivy bridge i3 3220 and it looks like a beast of a CPU for the money. Just a general purpose build. About time for newegg to send me some REAL coupons, not this 5% off crap that expires in 24 hours, all the money I've spent there......

They usually send me some pretty good coupons...15-25% off and I think they're usually good for either a week or a month.

MY stuff usually gets sent UPS and comes out of the New Jersey warehouse. I can order a hard drive on Monday and pick el-cheapo shipping and it arrives here Tuesday.

I have ordered small stuff like a connector and it comes DHL to USPS and takes a few extra days.

That^^^ lol

Updated mysql to 5.5 and the databases crashed. Rebooted and mysql wouldn't start causing Apache2 to go down... just a big mess.... wound up wiping everything in mysql and apache2 to get things going again.... but caused me to loose my forum data..

note to self. Backup before updates...

Yeah. The only thing not "backed up" was the empty forum. As I was just done with most of the configuration. But I'm reinstalling phpbb with a better configuration that I should have done the first time around. I didn't loose any important files. Just the forum setup. That's it.

I put "backed up" in quotes cause I actually have the databases downloaded. I just can't seem to get them imported back into mysql. If imports the folder but not all the files inside of it. Probably because they got messed up during the issue.

Lol, I meant how bad was the damage? Always backup before updating (and regularly). And also, why did you upgrade? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The only time I update my server is for security updates once every month or two.
