In Litecoin it would probably do about 2-3 times what i'm doing with just my i7 2600K

I don't know much about litecoin. It sounds very similar, but it may be different.
It is similar, that's why i'm looking into it since it's still CPU and GPU based, plus no hardware available to do it yet. Lower value right now too. Litecoin can also be converted to Bitcoins but the exchange rate may not be worth it right now.

It's very intriguing and interesting

But I'm not a computer geek

I did notice that there's ways to go into it more or less as a group or pool
Pools are supposed to be the best way to go. Hundreds or thousands of people sharing the processing. The coins that found is shared by everyone and split by the amount if work you did to find it.

I've been running since maybe 3pm yesterday, so about 18 hours and i've earned just under a penny in Litecoin. So i've made about 23 cents in real money so far. At the 52.4 KH hashrate, it estimates I could earn .013 litecoins per day.

As I understand it there is a finite amount of bitcoin and as more bitcoins are earned by anyone the harder it becomes to earn the next one. Now it may be infinitesimally small the amount it gets more difficult.

I also understand this is intentional as computers gain more and more processing power each year the bitcoin becomes harder and harder to get in order to keep up with that advancement

Again it's very interesting

One thing that worries me is the volatility of the market value of a bitcoin

It used to be worth a few dollars then jumped to like $1600 I think and then fell back down to $600 in a short time.

Fiat money rises and falls too but for now the bitcoin is wildly speculative it seems

I've seen infinite amounts available, and i've seen a cap at 21 million for Bitcoin and something like 84 million for Litecoin. I need to look into that more.

So Google sold the Motorola handset division to Lenovo. So much for assembled in America.

Arin went windows phone this time Nokia Lumia Icon. truthfully, only picked it up because of the camera, and because I can still use most droid things on my Nexus7. So far, actually really digging the windows 8 tiles. Makes much more sense on my phone than it does on my parent's laptop

I don't mind the tiles on my computer, but can see how they would make more sense on a phone or tablet.

Yup, it's better, IMO, on a tablet phone.
