ok so I stole the title from a tech writer/blogger I follow, but its fitting.

Figured a thread for all things geeky/gadgets and tech wise would be cool.

 

Today, is a big one, in less than an hour Apple will start its keynote speech, announcing iOS 6.0 and also the unveiling of the new iPhone 5. Theres alot of rumors, and some are all but confirmed (4g LTE for instance)

It starts at 12noon CST and there are alot of places covering it with live streaming blogs (apple has never let streaming video be allowed in thier keynotes).

Hey Scott, have you tried the Beta version of Win8 yet? I haven't considering I didn't really like the preview of it, and none of friends have tried it either.

 

I have not. We've been tossing the idea around here at work of trying it out and seeing what its like, just havent had the time. Supposedly all of the features thrown in with Win Server 2012 on the back end, you can do some really cool stuff, very collaborative type things, just havent really researched it a whole lot. I wonder if I can put it on our server as VM guest lol.

Its basically windows 7 with a new theme. I tried it, it was ok, I could see it very usefull for a touch screen.

No you don't. Maybe a 4S but the 4 sucks. My 3GS was just as good if not better.

 

I've never had a 4S so I'm cool with a 4. I liked it better than my 3GS

 

Well, good news for you, 4 is now free with contract

 

Too bad I signed a new one in May to get this stupid 3GS for a dollar lol

I messed with Siri for the first time yesterday on one of my best friend's 4S.

I asked her if she was a lesbian.
She said "not that I know of"

I need that for my easily amused self!

 

How could you buy a 3GS for even a dollar? That thing is soooooooo far behind at this point.

 

There were rumors that siri was going to go to older phones with iOS6 (available on the 19th btw, for 3gs phones and higher) but there was no mention of that.
