WOW Got up this morning to go to work and notice the back patio door was ajar by about 1/2" and my big male cat standing by the door. Didn't think much about it. Couldn't find my wallet or money clip and started to go to the garage to see if I left them in the car. Opened my front door and in the dark I could see several things on my steps. Picked them up and realize that they were my wifes and my wallet. Came back in and called the wife out of bed. I'm missed $50 and my wife is missing $50. All the CC are still in the wallets (but cancel them all everyway). Called the Police and started to look around but nothing esle is missing.
My daughter has the Raptor for the weekend and my mustang was in the garage so I guess it looked like nobody was home. I think the intruder was in the house bout 20 seconds , grab the money and heard us snozzeing in the bed room and split with the cats hissing at him the whole time. I say that because my wifes kindle fire and my razor cell phone were laying on different tables in the living room and they never touched them. I have no idea why they left the wallets on the front door step.
He was brave or dumb as I sleep within reach of a S&W 16 shot 9mm and a Mossberg 9 shot 12 gauge riot shotgun (00buckshot-Deer Slug-00BuckShot-Deer Slug ...etc). I would have no problem blasting a theft in my house, no warning no nothing. They would only heard the bang.
So off to lowes after work to get some more locks and things. Already order two solar powered motion detector lights for outside. Going to look like Fort Knots here in a bit.

Wow Darrell that is scarey **** man. You might consider a full house alarm. We finally did it about 5 years ago when I was traveling so much. It made Karen feel safer. We have all the doors and most of the windows wired including 3 motion detectors and fire alarm. It is a worth while investment. All hardware and installion was free with a 3 year contact. It only costs about a $1 a day to monitor. Cheap insurance. I have my fair share of armorment in the house but I would prefer not to have to use it.

I needed the money.......
But seriously though that is some spooky stuff. Better lock down tighter than Scott's undies after a cold shower!

We have been getting alot of that up here Darrel. Dad was in mexico on vacation and I was stopping by the house everynight after work to check on things and one of the nights I arrive to find the police there and the neighbors scared someone off trying to get into our house. Missed them by 10 minutes. Problem is the idiots tried to do the same to two other houses on our street and the one is a hunter with a million guns and the other guy would tear a person in half lol. Nutt jobs these days .....
Glad everyone is safe!
