Interesting - The pipes are perforated a little differently. Looks to be the same layout as the manual trans.

yea the baffles look a little longer on the auto and the exhaust middle portion necks down a bit more. That tube looks a little smaller on the stick mufflers too. Forgot to take a after pics DOH I will do something in paint to show what I did. It louder at 35 mph

its a little to loud at 35 and 40 mph but allright at other speeds I will leave it for a while and see how I feel. So far with about 40 miles its alright sounds good lower tone flowmaster sounding if you will.

A little help

I'm thinking my themostat is going bad. My engine temp spikes to around 230 before it starts to go back to around 190. For the past month it has never gone past 190.

What do you think?? I'll flush the radiator and replace the stat tomorrow. Also the people at my local NAPA are idiots. Since I'm using mostly water they told me I would need to replace the radaitor and possible have damage my Al. engine block.

Well using water mostly could cause build up on the fins, slowing flow. Not totally dumb, but I doubt that's the issue since temps come back down

Thermostat is cheap to try or just remove it all together temporarily and see what happens. If you're going to use water use distilled at least lol.

Started to flush the radiator and changed out the themostat to a 170. 1st thing the plastic petcock valve snaps off. A large eazy out fixes that. I drain the fluid and start to change the stat. On a 2007 Saleen SC the housing is moved to a 4 hose juntion down the front drivers side and is upside down. After my 1st try (leaking), I try it again. Now the car is running like crap. I check all my connections as I had to remove my CAI and oil separator. Still runs like crap. Take the MAF and clean it. Still runs like crap. Unplug the maf and all is fine. I guess my maf decided to quit working. Next day $140 for a new maf, $4 for a new petcock plug. I got tired of messing with the upside down housing and just disconnect all the hoses and worked on it at my work bench. Well anything is just like it was before except a 170 stat, new maf, new petcock. Car still heats up to 190. I'm fuking tired.
