Was it fun? I have a friend that wants me to race his Mach 1 at the Denton track.

Yeah, it was a whole lot of fun! Very nerve racking trying to make sure you don't mess up though. I spun the tires off the line and they were apparently still spinning when I hit second which bogged it down. I was so zoned in that I can't tell you what car was in the other lane. You shoulda came down.

I'd like to. I'll have to keep my eyes open for the next event. Spinning the tires thru second, eh? That CAI must be da bomb!

FYI, replaced the cabin air filter. Was a snap, easily done in 10 minutes. Only unexpected thing was the rivets to take off the cowl thingy. Use a screw driver to push up from the rivet underneath within the plastic snap.

You'll enjoy it for sure. I'll try to remember to post up a link over here next time. They have one in the spring and fall. It usually gets posted up in the Racing Bench forum first over there.

I probably need to replace my cabin filter too. I'll have to check with my service advisor to make sure he hasn't changed it already. He does stuff and doesn't always tell me since he doesn't always charge me for stuff. I just found out he has been rotating my tires for free eventhough I didn't buy them there( he thought I did ). He said he will still rotate them for me after I told him I bought them at Discount Tire. This is one reason I try to let them do the work on my car when it needs it.

Yeah, I got lucky. He has ridden out with me before and likes it but, he has chickened out the last two times. He had a nightmare about us getting shot so he didn't want to ride out in case it came true, Haha. I called him and told him I was still alive afterwards.

Tell him he can go ride with me for an evening if I get some free service. Very minimal risk involved.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to wrangle cows and horses on the East side. Mostly horses though. YeeHaw!

LOL! Do you have a rope in your trunk?

Oh...so I finally decide to gun it last night. I'm going home from playing volleyball at a local church...I'm on the north side of Sherman on 75...its empty and straight...

118 in a 65. And a warning for no front plate.

It wouldn't be so bad if yesterday the plumbing people didn't need $300 to install a sewage cleanout (to do a leak test for the foundation people) plus the realtor calls me to let me know there's a dead squirrel in the Fort Worth house which crapped in the kitchen and tore up the blinds in the front room apparently trying to get out. There was a bunch of lint in the laundry room...so it probably got in through the dryer vent.

*sigh*

No rope and holy crap!!! Good luck with all that mess. Maybe you need to move back to the "big city" since the country life has turned you into a crazy man.

Oh, believe me there are some that are straight and long enough to get in trouble down here! I've hit 120 on I-30 before.

Well...you've got that "professional courtesy" going for ya, too. Especially with your working hours, I'm sure its pretty empty on the major highways. I could never catch 'em empty while I was on them...then I'd get too paranoid if it was...city police and DPS to worry about.

I done got too brave up in the country for my own good.

I gotta see if I can get deferred judication. I believe I'm too over for defensive driving. This'll be my first ticket in 10 years.

Oh...and went to the Fort Worth house to repair the squirell damaged blinds. Little bastard broke the strings...the ladder string and the runner strings on two of the blinds. The only place I could find that would fix them was "Blooomin Blinds" ( http://www.bloominblinds.com/ ). They'll come to your house and fix 'em. $40 for home service, plus $35 per ladder string, plus $19 per runner string... so I went to Home Depot and found two blinds that were close to what I had for $50.

Well...I called the judge.

He was like "you're how old??" He kinda chuckled when I told him why I did it. He's all, "Well, since you're not 18, I won't lecture you, but you're old enough to know better." Yes sir. Yes sir.

He's letting me get deferred judication.

Well that's good. How long? 90 days? Can you stay outta the gas for that long? Haha! How much is it gonna cost ya?

How did the squirrel get in? I think I would have to go on a huntin trip and blast me a squirrel!

90 days. $300 fine, $50 deferral fee. And yes...I should be able to keep it off the gas. I took all the lead out of my shoes. I'm a little lighter anyway...with that amount of cash out of my pockets, too.

Oh...I was ready to do some serious squirrel extermination...but instead shoved a garbage bag into the dryer vent in the laundry room. Next one that comes in that way can just die the the tube.

W00t!

I'm the owner of only one house, now! The flooring is done in the Sherman home! I can start finally getting back to a normal scene.

I ended up getting the dealer to replace the fuel filter on my last oil change at an additional $40. Also, needed a new air filter, but I went to O'Reilly's and got new one. They had the Motorcraft paper filter for $30, or I could get a K&N Filtercharger for $40. I got the K&N. Wow...my first performance mod. The box says I'll get more HP!
