Man I wish I could have made the photo shoot - you people needed a Mineral Grey in that bunch. So tell me about these gears - what ratio, where are you purchasing them at (and how much), who's installing them, and would it benefit my auto trans? Would it need a re-tune if I replaced the gears? I'm still mulling over installing the FRPP handling pack and new rotors/ss brake lines - tech day at my crib this summer, perhaps?? I've got a nice sparkly Kwik Lift for just such an occasion.

Groupset.....

I also have an automatic, the rest of the kids have sticks,

I used 3.73 gears and they used 4.10 gears,

We bought from several different outfits...main thing is to get Ford Racing gears and not another brand, we had a Ford certified mechanic that we paid on the side to install the gears,

My auto felt a vast difference...like a jack rabbit ready to jump at any time..same out on the highway,

On your brakes don't get the ss brake lines, with the anti lock feature the stainless does not work well,

This Sunday we are going on a short drive and have lunch, come if you can and if you can we will give you more info.

Archangel Motorsports is the name of Kurtis Fullingim's outfit. Kurtis has a ME degree from TU; he's been doing full-time Ford restoration/tuning/modification work for several years now. (His main shop is in Skiatook; he's probably the tuner that someone else mentioned a few posts back.) Kurtis has a Shelby GT500, as well as an '06 Mustang GT - he knows his Mustang stuff. He tuned mine on the dyno at Chris's Tulsa Dynojet on 11th just west of 169. Call Kurtis at 606-0120 (cell phone), he stays pretty busy but he'll work you in. He'd probably be glad to schedule a group dyno/tune at Chris's place as well.

Thanks for the info on the SS brake lines - didn't know about the conflict with them and ABS. And I'll be out of town this weekend (and virtually every one 'til after Memorial Day). My daughter's getting married end of May; gotta practice my skeet shooting.

I’ve heard of that guy too. I’ve heard nothing but good things too.

A Dyno day would be fun… need to schedule one!

What is this about the SS lines Bob? Never heard that one…. Where did you get that info from and why are they bad???

Lord, I thought everyone knew about anti-lock brakes and ss lines...and you are my head mechanic and all things mechanical advisor ?

David, Jeff are you interested in a dyno day ? If so I will check it out for us.

There is also suppose to be a wizard over in OKC with a dyno and tunes.

Paul did not use Purple Haze rear end lube like we did, we need to start listening for the sound of metal on metal,

He won't be as fast as us.

I'm back! A new Benji record. 1 hr 35 mins.... No bearing needed...

Daddy likes! She's springy now! Really makes a differance.

Now I gotta go out and adjust the speedo.

Groupset... if you want we can hook you up with Benji "The gear guy" $200 bucks for the install. You buy all the parts of course, but you won't find a better deal.

Congrats paul on the gears. Now go and try to power shift into third and you tell me if you feel the same about the shifter? I think I'm gonna order one next week.

I went with the white welting I think that it was a good choice. I like it. I also placed some above both door jams near the headliner. I still have about 6 feet left if anyone wants some white.

SOB I didn't use the Jimmy Hendrix brand either. I used the RED LINE. and because my cam covers are painted I will naturally be the fastest.

also it's a proven fact that the HP (color code for PERFORMANCE WHITE) welting adds 30 horsepower at the rear wheels.

Doors look good David! Not sure about the headliner... Need to see it in person. Just my opinion though! Good thing about them... if you don't like it, you can yank it out. I did forget to check out your valve covers the other day! I wanted to see them. I forgot all about it though.

Traffic was tight so I didn't get a real chance to play. Plus I wanna seat them in first. They are quite... always a good sign.

Benji used the Ford Racing Gear lube with a friction modifier. Not worried ...

Yeah I haven't decided on the headliner stuff either but like you said if it doesn't work for me then I'll just yank it out and even better i'm only out like 5 bucks. I might order another color later just for fun when I get bored with the white. It's so cheap you really cant go wrong.

You know it!

Oh BTW Guys... When changing your gear ratio settings... you have to do it for each tune. So basically, the next time you switch to the 93 tune, don't forget to change your gear ratio setting....
