Yep. Sad. They had another accident a few weeks back i remember them talking about it. One guy was on his bike with his kid on the back and i guess lost it in some sand. He was banged up pretty, broken ribs, etc. Luckly his kid had a helmet on and walked away.

They might need to get a new hobby...

You couldn't get me to ride a bike. It's not if you will spill or get hit, but when. Time for helmets guys. The laws may suck but at least you walk away alive.

I use to ride back in school. I loved it, but hardly a day went by without almost getting hit by a car that didn't see you. I pretended I was invisible... Best defense when riding a bike. I also wore a helmet....

Bob-Dave,
Can one of you guys get the Uncle Sam flyer printed up for BYB tomorrow? I simply don't have the time.
Just enjoying all the action on the thread tryin not to be a over poster!

Sucks about the motorcycle wreck (moment of silence)

I'm not sure if i'll have time to do the flyers or not perhaps if one of us was retired or somthing........Oh yeah Bob aren't you retired? I'll help with the $$$ on this and the cards. 100+ greenbacks. I thought 40 somthing was too good to be true.

My rear end is howling when I turn a sharp corner. I'm gonna be really mad if its anything other than gear lube or somthing simple.

When are they going to have the cards done?

Who all is going to attend the BYB. Looks like rain.

How is it that if nothing sticks to teflon that they can stick it to a pan?

The cards will be ready tomorrow at 12noon.
Can't go to BYB. Have class until 710pm.
No rear end problems here, yet. Lube it up man.
Teflon, well I could bore you with how chemically but suffice it to say, it happens and teflon will kill your birds.

I hate the rain. :-( We'll at least have the cards and flyers ready to go for the next time. Hopefully we'll have some t-shirts, etc.

Tri-Ax has shipped. Yippeeeee.....Wooooohooooo.........

Changing the gear oil tonight to another weight. I guess I should have double checked on the oil before install. I just didn't think there would be a problem. But as usual if it's gonna go wrong it's gonna go wrong for me.

Well the kit I purchased came with the 75W90 and before I had Benji do it I asked him if it would make a diff he said no so I went ahead with the install and that lube. I guess the new rear set up with larger axles and so forth require a higher temp lube thus the 75W140. So no biggie i'll just have to drain and replace it tonight. Sucks but live and learn. I am kindov unsure why the master technician didn't know that it would make a difference.

I only notice the howl noise after driving for a long while and when I turn the car sharp and the limited slip goes into action.

I'm sure the lube is the problem it just isn't up to par when the extra heat is put on it.

Are you sure the lube is wrong? I've heard of people using both and having no problems. What is in there from the factory?

Ok put in the new lube, drove several miles at highway speed took a couple of turns after that and the thing is now as quiet as Pauls car.

Chris of Tulsa Dyno is not in the shop this week and weekend because of the weather and his being out of town.....will get with him Monday to schedule everything and let you know asap.....

Forget 93 octane in this town and towards the end of summer forget the 101 octane at "Car and Fleet", but they will carry a 101 octane D grade.
Difference between the two is Federal Clean Air Act regs. The 101 D is not the quality octane that the presently used 101 is,

The closest supply source for 93 octane is in Little Rock, local dealers would have to have a separate tank for it and it would not work with Tulsa cities required summer blends formula to meet the summer FCAA regs,

Octane is a funny game they play, Paul's formula of a ratio of 4 to 1 is probably ok, but according to this distributor he said a mix of 1/2 to 1/2 would be closer to the desired 93 octane rating.....here again that does not mean that the 101 octane available at the store is bad but the 91 is just enough to keep the dash lights off, like I said octane is rated differently depending on who uses it, according to this distributor,

Brother got a new Harley, that is where I have been... discussing it with him, no fists, but probably not talk to each other for months..we are to old and sore to hook it up anymore. No helmet and is not totally medically released from the docs from his last medical episode. His favorite sister in law - and he has had a few - lost a leg on her Harley a year ago and now those folks at BHF. Just to many big SUVs cell phones, Mexicans and stereo systems to ride bikes anymore.
So I am confused about the 101 octane and the 101 D. What does the D mean and is it safe to use? I guess we just need to use the 104 at the race track right??
