Snopes.com. It's the website you should reference everytime someone forwards you a stupid chain email. Then you can forward a link to everyone that they copied so everyone will get the idea you don't want to receive any more stupid chain emails!

I'm with you...i read this post when it first came out...then again months later...then again a few minutes ago and i still don't think i really understand if it can be done or not. I have an '06 GT with Active Theft and would like to get this activated if possible.

Side note: is there any way at all to do this yourself?

Im sure that there isnt, Ford hates it when people do things themselves. Not without some supreme haxor skills, and the know-how to do it.

So is there ANYONE who can confirm this has been activated on an 06 or 07 even if it does require Active Anti Theft? (I have Active Anti Theft which is why i'm still hopeful)

everything i have read, says no.it has been permantly disabled in the ecm,so that dealers won t reactivate the option. yes you would need active anti theft to make it work.

It's not possible. I forget the exact reason why, but if you read through this entire thread, you'll see a post by someone who actually found out that some electronic module that controls this feature is different. So, if you can figure out how to enable it in the ECM or whatever, it still won't work.

I think the only way this will work is with a "hack" involving extra logic circuity that you create and add yourself.
