Got a railcar #... ETTX 801159

Still is only saying "released from industry on 2/27"

How often does it update again?

I think it may still be in trasition between convoy and rail, or possibly waiting to be loaded (onto rail).

When the rail is good to go, the report will change from E (empty) to L (load).

As far as updates, once it starts moving, it can update as little as 15 minutes! Seems that everytime the railcar passes a checkpoint, it updates the web trace.

Watching the trace website can become addicting. Right, Susan?

Updates have been very sporadic for my railcar.
Updated 2-21 then not till 2-25, then it updated 2-27 and 2-28. So I have no idea if there is any rhyme or reason to it.
I'll be happy when my railcar moves out of Kansas City Area ! It has spent a week vacation there and it is time for it to come home.

I hope this process goes smoothly... I've been through enough!

So now it's sitting in the railyard for 2 days? Hope it changes sometime today... you know I'll be checking constantly!

Are they constantly loading individual cars on and off railcars, or are they removing railcars on and off of different trains?

I tried to register just for the heck of it (using all of my salesperson's info, but my email). I guess you can get more specific info if you log in before tracking a car. But it takes 3 business days to get a reply for some reason.

Just called the ERL and it says "Shipped by rail, ETA week of 3/6" !!!

Moved from 3/12 to 3/6... hope that's correct !!!

I think I'll print out all 400+ posts of this thread (at work, of course ).

Will be neat to read through it again down the road... all the excitement... and agony...

Tom - seems like it's all good news. I was addicted. I kept my browser open in the background and just refreshed everytime I needed to turn to my computer, to check email, wait for applications to open, etc. A couple of my updates were only 6 mintues apart! I agree with Bill - I think the car hasn't been loaded yet. I would recommend re-verifying that railcar number in a day or so if you don't see movement. If it hasn't been loaded yet, they may change the railcar number on you.

And mine was gate released and shipped on the 9th, but didn't make it to train until the 11th. By the time I got the railcar number, it was already in Decatur Illinois.

Kansas City must be a nice vacation spot. They all seem to sit there for a few days.

Tom - do you want to change your ETA in your signature?

The dealer called this morning and said the railcar # finally showed up on their "run". They must have called me first thing (they said they would)... it was like 8:15 am.

If it changes, think they will get the new number? I'll give it a couple more days... it's only been 2 days since 2/27 (but seems like longer).

Maybe I'll have dates today!!!

Signature changed!

Tom- Happened to me too, ERL jumped the ETA 'week of' date up 1 week. Turned out to be accurate in my case.
And it looks like you and OKC are in the running to see who's first! (Sorta like Susan and I)

Susan- I can't believe your first topic you started here in TMS has reached over 5000 views and 400 posts!!! That's crazy! And there's no sign of slowin'!

It seems I am the hare (fast but taking breaks) and you are the tortoise (slow but steady).
Be cool if they came in around the same time, like Bill & Susan's did.

I was thinking the same thing about the hare and the tortoise after I posted that! They should be pretty close!

For my latest at BOF, click here.

That's some Saint Cloud, FL line dancing for ya... (we're a small country town).

Your dealer will have it, so the easiest way is to ask them for it. The other way is explained here:

http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...w=findpost&p=25

Here is the website to track the railcar #:

You'll need to call the ERL (the number and info are on the first page of the BOF thread) and talk to an Analyst to request the railcar number. Then track it here: http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp

oops - ditto!

Your salesperson should be able to get your railcar number for you. Also available thru the Analyst (ERL).

Once you get it, you can track it here.

Wow! 3 people with the same info... must be true then!
