Replacement parts for my passenger side airbag finally came in. Got the phone call from my dealership's service advisor today and have an appointment scheduled on Wednesday for the installation.
Well here's a funny story, I took my 05 in to the dealer to have the power steering fluid flushed. When I picked up the car, they told me I had an open recall on the passenger airbag. I told them it was done a month ago at the same dealer. The service rep said that it wasn't cleared out in their computer so they replaced it. I went from waiting for over a year and a half to get the passenger airbag replaced to getting two installed in five weeks.

If they can get paid by Ford for a job, they may go ahead and do it Without even talking to you beforehand. They assume if you don't pay for a something, you won't mind if they do it.

As a Service Advisor when a car came in for service if there were any open safety recalls on the VIN I'd automatically add them to the repair order.
I've had cars come in that had 4-5 open recalls on them.
Free money to me, free repairs to the customer, everybody wins.

Finally got the passenger side inflator replacement done on yesterday. Needless to say, after 2 years waiting for the parts to become available under the Takata airbag recall, the long wait is finally over
I got my passenger side done today at lunch. The drivers side was done over a year ago. The dealership next to Tinker AFB is an authorized Roush dealer and had a very nice 727 HP Roush P51 in the showroom.

I got a letter in the mail months ago telling me about the recall, and another a few weeks ago that parts were available. Mine is probably an early '13. I bought it new in July 2012 with 9 miles on the odometer.
