5.0 mustang 95

What type automatic transmission did the 95 5.0 have? Was it the same and the 2000 v6 transmission?

Don't think so. The auto in the 95 is a AODE

Check the input shaft length. I'm not sure if they are different, but it wouldn't be a lot of fun if they are.

I remember seeing write ups on Modded Mustangs a while ago, but try to google it, I'm sure you'll find some good info.

This may sound stupid but how many gears does a 94 GT automatic tranny have? I swear it feels like 3 + overdrive but that doesn't sound right at all....

I was afraid of that. Is it possible to change it to 6 without a whole new tranny?

Nope. No room for the extra gears. And even if it were possible, the cost would not be worth it.

Hmmm ok. I'm planning on rebuilding the tranny soon anyway, do you know of anywhere that sells clutch pedal assemblies? I want to change it from auto to manual, I've found everything I need except the assembly.

Junkyard, craigslist, or ebay will be your best resources.

85 and older 302 foxes came carbed. Might be easier goin that route instead of gettin a 95 302 and switching it to carbed. Might be able to get motor and tranny from same donor car. Seems like less hassle
