5.0 mustang 95
Inline valves tells me it's a windsor, but cant really tell if it's a 302 or 351 without knowing the casting numbers off the block, or how wide the intake is. All windsors have inline valves, all clevelands and modifieds have canted valves
Then you have the original Boss 302. It was a 302 windsor block, with cleveland heads, and a special intake to make it all work. It was called a clevor engine

The casting numbers are on the block are behind the starter. You have to remove the starter to see them. You will see numbers that look like this C90E-8015b. Another thing 351 clevelands do not have the upper radiator hose going to the intake, It goes directly to the engine block. and they were only made between 1970-74. Only reason I know all this, is because I spent 4 years finding parts to build a Boss 302 to go into my old car. Only to have to sell it, when all I needed for it was a 4 barrel throttle body, and valve covers.

There is controversy whether or not my transmission will work or not...
Would this be a smart upgrade?

That's the wrong k member, you need the one for 79-95. Tubular k members are best for drag racing, or if you plan on running a huge set of long tubes.

Will also bolt into a 96-04 Ford Mustang for use with a Windsor based engine.
