Alright. I'm disconnecting the motor mounts on the v6. Could y'all tell me how many bolts a 2000 v6 has to the trany?

Why not just buy a older 5.0? You can get them pretty cheap. Just my .02.

Yes and no. On cars.com I found even new edge GT's going for 6-8k and older fox bodies for around 5ish.

Never really saw the point I'm engine swaps to a old engine. Saw some people swapped the new 5.0 into a new edge that was pretty cool.

Older engines are a lot easier to work on, parts are cheaper, easier to diagnose problems, and the reaction from people to see a newer car with a Holley double pumper carb

Doesn't the old 5.0's barely pump out 200hp never mind how much it lost as the years went on. I don't know anything about it so I won't judge but I do agree that it's easier to work on the older engines. No electronics and all that.

I can respect your opinion the coyote is the ultimate build. But I want something that I know all about. And I want something old school in my new edge that I know will work and that will be a tribute to 5.0. It's my dream

On a carb build how do you do the wiring as far as engine speed, rpm, oil pressure, h2o temperature, and amp ?

Huh the 2005 v6 mustangs pumped out the same hp numbers as the older v8's but not the same torque.

I could go with a 351 but that would be more expensive?

Or the same sound. Gotta love v8s with with off road exhaust 😄. Also I feel they were underrated. A buddy of mine has a 94 cobra which is 240hp stock that with only gears and o/r X pipe dynoed just over 300hp.

Probably not by much.

Are you planning on rebuilding whatever 302 you get. If so, why not go stroker, 331 or 347? I think that would be sick
