Ok two questions can my build have an automatic transmission with the computer for the transmission but not the engine? And if I get the AODE transmission is that a fought transmission?

Older engines are a lot easier to work on, parts are cheaper, easier to diagnose problems, and the reaction from people to see a newer car with a Holley double pumper carb

Doesn't the old 5.0's barely pump out 200hp never mind how much it lost as the years went on. I don't know anything about it so I won't judge but I do agree that it's easier to work on the older engines. No electronics and all that.

I can respect your opinion the coyote is the ultimate build. But I want something that I know all about. And I want something old school in my new edge that I know will work and that will be a tribute to 5.0. It's my dream

Or the same sound. Gotta love v8s with with off road exhaust 😄. Also I feel they were underrated. A buddy of mine has a 94 cobra which is 240hp stock that with only gears and o/r X pipe dynoed just over 300hp.
