You could take it to the dump (seriously) they weigh you when you go in and then when you leave and you pay the diffrence on the weight you dumped out. Also recycling centers do same.

And no I don't mean take it to the dump and leave it.

OK first of all they say "how you weight a car", weight a car, the might as well say how you wait a car. How about you hit one of those highway patrol truck stops where they "way" the trucks and ask mr. popo if he can "weight" it.

I guess its not all that important though really, it weighs less than the Bullitt thats for sure...thats before the Mad Max armor plate goes on though.

lol, they're foreign, cut em some slack. As for truck stops, I can't recall ever seeing one. Besides, I rarely take the II on the highway. last time I did. She likes to overheat :P

hopefully she'll be better tho after a new radiator hose and cooling fan... that i have had forever but still haven't installed :P I'm sure even with the mad max armor it'll be less than the bullitt, even less than it was before i started the work. I'll take some pics of the MASSIVE steel bumper bars it had inside the urethane covers. My baby went on a diet lol

I guess its a Texas thing, but I got pulled over once in a 1/2 ton '78 Chevy rust bucket with a 454 though, at work and the trooper made me pull into the weigh station. So we pull in and he weighs us and our payload minus the vehicle weight is like 2700 pounds. I said is that bad, he said that is very bad and wrote me a ticket. A 1/2 ton truck should only have 1000 pounds of payload in Texas. Ooops!

Those old tires were squatting like you wouldn't believe.

At 2700 pounds of payload I could have taken the II almost and set it on top of the bed of the pickup and drove down the highway.

I did march straight into the bosses office and tell him he was paying that ticket. The problem was we were loaded with a dozen lead lined doors for a hospital and being that I was 19 I didn't know any better.

But I thought once you turn 19 you know everything, like I do

Thankfully my only ticket was not in the II, and it had nothing to do with overdoing my II's towing capacity (1500lbs )

Hey Arin your like the only Mod online right now.

So whats the deal with the ban. Do you have some kind of pm you send Sendero, or is it like you hit F4 on post and it bans the dude? Is there a committee that reviews bans. What do you look for in a ban?

IDK my *** is tired, its almost 2:30 my time, I'll see ya'll manana. Good night Arin.

har har

I've never had to ban, its not something i have a set plan for. Its also not something I just do. Gotta talk to the other mods too I can't permaban anyone, for that I can only try and help the ones with the power in their decisionmaking process

If I give you enough infraction points though, it puts you on a 7 day vacation though

For that, if I see someone continually breaking rules and not listening when the mods tell them to behave and other rude behavior, I would add infraction points.

Take it easy man

Hey what secion are you responsible for. I know guys like Adrenalin and Boomer keep their areas really tidy and will move threads that should have been started elsewhere and regularly troll through the posts for wrong doers. Whats your responsibiltiy?

so the re-usage of the old bumpers in cut up form seem to have failed. I tried my hand at blacksmimthing to try and make brackets and mounts and it just ain't workin out. (it was fun though, grinding, drilling, using a torch to heat metal and smashing it with a hammer was great) I have a backup plan which will be alot plainer and a lot more practical. It will also give me a place to mount my turn signals where they are also visible. Hopefully I can get that figured out tomorrow.

In other news mounting the bull bar from the two bolts seems to be just fine so long as I don't use it like an actual bull bar. Its plenty stable now that I finally went ahead and tightened the bolts. I'll also try and get some foglights soon to mount on the bull bar.

Finally I found some material to make my grill out of. Its thin steel with a bunch of tiny holes in it. It'll still have a fair bit of airflow and it'll look pretty mean. Pics tomorrow, its dark out now
