I don't think Brad owning it had anything to do with it. It was the guys like Scott and Jason and all the mods and admin from the past that made it what it was. It was the people that came together in the beginning. One man doesn't make a forum.

It just happened to be that Brad owned it.

I'm sure facebook killed it mostly. Along with the illegals, the muslims, the blacks, the jews, and of course the gays.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but I know who he is. He lived next to my family for many years. Just down the road from them on the mountain.

As far as I ever knew he wasn't. Everybody kind of knew parts of the story behind him, but that's about it. There's a state highway over there that's named after him, I always notice the sign when I'm back over that way.

There's a little town in the area that is almost all Seventh Day Adventists and it saved my *** one time. Had a broken wisdom tooth for many years that never bothered me until one day I woke up and it was killing me, had gotten infected and I was out of my mind, almost delerious.

Problem was, it was on a Sunday and everything was closed. Then a family member suggested I call a dentist in that town because they were open on Sunday (everything there was closed on Saturday instead). Sure enough, called a dentist over there and he said sure we're open, come on in. He yanked it out in about 15 minutes and I never felt such relief in all my life when that thing came out.

Wow!!! I had never even heard of Seventh Day Adventists until I saw the movie. You know I'm not a religious man anymore, but they seem like a special group of people. I'm sure you know how serious that infection could have been...

Everyone of them I've ever known, or had any dealings with were fantastic people.

Yeah, it was serious. I was literally out of my freakin' mind, and not just from the pain. Couldn't sit up, drive, or hardly string a coherent sentence together. Within 20 minutes of him pulling it out, I was already lucid and felt 10 times better. That was some of the worst pain I've ever had, next to a kidney stone.

Contrary to a lot of popular myths, Seventh Day Adventists are fairly normal Christians. They follow the dietary rules the Jews follow (no unclean meats) and go to church on Saturday. The stricter SDA's are vegetarians. There are a few other 'minor' differences in doctrine from other 'normal' Christian religions, but none I'd consider a matter that would determine your soul's final outcome. I was raised SDA and I went to an SDA school 1st-9th grade. Desmond Doss was actually an example for us on how one should stand up for what you think is right instead of caving in and taking the easy/popular way out.

Well I do know that if I ever need something on Sunday when other places are closed, I'm going to that town. There was no way I could have waited until Monday when my dentist opened, and IIRC he only charged me $50 or $75, I know it was less than a 100. I'd have paid 10 times that just to get that thing out of me, lol. I can't even imagine what it would have cost if I'd gone to the ER and they had to call someone in to get it out.

There's a guy at work that's a seventh day Adventist/Jehovah's witness/Jewish/Catholic. I try to avoid getting into long conversations with him. Lol But that's the only reason I've ever heard of a seventh day adventist. Haha

Bought the last carton 1-22-15, and I've still got the last pack unopened. Bet those are some stale *****. March 1st 2015 was the first day without one in decades.
