At least you have an excuse to eat all the ice cream...sorry!
Freezer is still working, fridge is not. So I know the compressor, condenser, etc is still good. Must be the thermostat or flap or whatever sends cold air to the fridge. Its pretty old, close to 15 years I think, not worth fixing I'm sure. Took the back off, blew out the coils, fan etc. with the air compressor, still no dice.
15 years is pretty good now a days! Still sucks though.
Yeah, nowadays it is. Just don't make **** like they used to. I've got a big deep freezer in the garage from the early 70's that is still running like a top, never been touched, not a thing done to it. New **** just isn't any good. Its all disposable now.

My fridge in the garage did that. There's a fan in the freezer part that sends cold air to the fridge part. The fan motor probably went out. I replaced the fan motor and it works great again.

OK I jacked it up. Passenger side definitely has a little play with the upper ball joint. Driver side is very very minimal. Endlinks look like they might just need to be tightened a bit.
Wow this thread died. What's up with that? I've been working a turnaround for the last month and it don't look like I missed a single thing.
Tomorrow makes 30 consecutive days of waking up at 3:15am. Just glad it's almost over. Hopefully y'all will have something interesting to talk about then. Geez.
I'm hoping to take new software to the hurricane hunters at the end of April or early May. If I'm lucky, I might get to fly with them on a training flight.

Looked at the date on the back when I got it out and it was older than I thought. 7/94, so almost 22 years. Didn't realize it had been that long.

How's this? Continuing from above.
Got the fridge out and decided it wasn't worth messing with so I bought a new one Monday morning. They said they'd call in a few hours to let me know what time they'd be out Tues. to deliver it.
That was at 10 AM. Waited around all day for the call. Nothing.
Finally at 8 freaking 30 that night they called and said they would be here between 12 and 1 Tues.
12-1 comes and goes. 2, 3, 4 o'clock come and go, and nothing. Not even a call. I finally called them (a bit perturbed after waiting all day) and they said they were behind. Driver finally called back about 4:30 and said they were on the way.
About 5:30 they come rolling in. Giant box truck, backing up the drive way. Straight shot to the front of the house, wide open view, and along with a new refrigerator, I got a bonus.
This........
That stuff on the ground and bumper would be what's left of the window.
Slammed right into my XLT. Just parked right there, in plain sight, right in front of the garage, and right beside the carport. Danged thing has gone almost 300K miles, literally been to all 4 far corners of the lower 48 and every state in between without incident. Parked in my own yard, hadn't been driven in days and gets practically totaled.

Holy crap Lee. What a bunch of freaking morons. Waiting all day for someone to call sucks as it is, but totaling a car? ****!
I've been one pissed off person. I know the car is old and not worth much to most people, but its worth something to me. I've put well over 200K on the car. I know it. I know how its been serviced, what has been done to it, how its been taken care of, what has been fixed on it. Hell, I put a new Jasper engine in it at 230K when the timing chain guides started failing and coming apart ($5K for that installed). It was more than the car was worth , but I knew the car and had history with it and couldn't replace it for anything close to that so I bit the bullet and decided spend the money to keep it for a long time because I knew it would last after everything else I'd done to it. Hell, I only gave about $7K for it with 70K miles on it. Putting other regular maintenance costs aside it only cost me about $12K with the new engine to drive it over 220K miles all over the US and thru the US Forrest Service roads more than I can count. $12K for 220K miles of rough service all over the US is pretty cheap. Now this crap happens
