I hate insurance companies....
Which insurance companies are you dealing with? Not all of them are that bad....

Texas does sound nice....besides the insane storms that come through and insurance underwriting guidelinesare horrible.

Which is not all that bad I guess. Lol.
I would branch out to Alabama or Tennessee before heading west.
I love North Carolina....although, Alabama would be nice to annoy Paul and Scott

Explain Texas traffic. Is it as bad as it taking about 3 hours to go 37 miles?

On 35 in Austin, it just might depending what time of day you end up there.

Austin belongs in california. Fortunately, the seat of the capitol doesn't seem to affect the politics too much.

I'd go insane then. Its bad enough in parts of Long Island. I also have to figure out a better commute home fr myself jow too. 287 in NJ at 5pm is hell on Earth and puts LI to shame.

Coming frm an insurance standpoint, California is almost as bad as Texas. Probably because of the fact that it is about to break off the mainland

Watching Food Network this evening, some BBQ roundup type show. Their #2 rated BBQ joint in the USA is Killen's, in Pearland TX. Anyone ever eaten there?

Have not been there but the main Houston radio talk show host speaks very highly of it

Dallas is bumper to bumper for 30 straight miles at a time. But they are all going 85.

Houston is just not worth driving to or in.

That's about the extent of my Texas driving experience.

There is diffrent speed limits theretoo right? In NY it was 55 in most spots and in NJ its 65. In the mornings, i get basically shoved out of the left lane even though I am going 80mph. Maybe it is a good thing that i drive a slow car

Geico wasn't bad, it's Safe Auto that is the irritating one, they are the other persons provider...

I also have Geico, they aren't too bad and thankfully I have never had to file a claim *knocks on wood*
I have never even heard of Safe Auto.

Insurance is like playing a numbers detective game to determine if you are properly covered in your state, assets, blah blah blah.

Hope everything works out.
