Yeah it bumped a nickel here for Thanksgiving travelers. Crooks! 2.89 for 87 from Fred Meyer/Kroger.
But I got a turkey for .69/#.

I didn't even notice how much 87 was, but its usually 30-40 cents cheaper than 93.

I usually buy a 20# at one store's sale (.69), and then another 16-17# (small freezer) from another store's sale to smoke around 4th of July.
Cook them off and immediately freeze half for about a month later.

I'm not a real big fan of turkey in general, especially the white meat, but decided to cook one this year. Its actually the first one I've bought in about a decade.

Now I do love a deep fried one, but I don't have a fryer and only get it when someone else cooks one.

Must be something in the air, the danged animals around here are going crazy. Been sitting on the porch watching 3 big deer running all over the yard playing with each other.

Then I came in and this freakin' cat came in and started going ape****. I don't know if its just the manx in him or if hes got a screw loose but this ****er is definitely not wired right. He started pushing his bowl around and pawing at the bag of food so I fed him.

Then I got in the shower and was washing and minding my own business when I heard a thump. Turned around and he was in the freakin' shower with me! Just standing there looking at the water flowing and getting sprayed all over.

Not always, but I did push it to but it didn't latch. He just pushed it open and came to see what was going on.

Wow. Lol Sandy is horrified of water. Just taking her near the sink freaks her out.

Max loves to get in a sink and drink water out of the faucet. You have to keep him down every time you try to wash dishes, brush your teeth or anytime you turn the water on. If you don't make him get down he'll sit there and stare at it running and swat at the stream with his paw, lol.
