Oh, and I thought this was cool. Over 7k students from the area made a living flag yesterday at Ft. McHenry to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner. My friend's daughter got to participate as part of the flag

I'm going to try to talk Mr. Jill into going to the celebration this weekend. Lots of stuff happening downtown. I would at least like to get to the Inner Harbor to see all of the tall ships that are coming in from around the world. They all get here today to kick off the celebration.

Speaking of tall ships, I watched Master and Commander again last week. Those battle scenes and the scenes sailing around the Cape are so awesome! Makes you realize just how rough and tumble those sailors were. Talk about living on the edge!

Coldest I've ever been in my life was right there after the 05 Innauguration. We went the next day, it was well into the single digits, and windy as all get out. Wind blowing the wet air from the bay, I froze my *** off.
