Does your wife cut the crust off it for you?

Glad to know you're getting back up to speed and once healed can adjust your diet to more 'normal' (as per your docs).
How soon can your colon take some beer carbonation?

Not an absolute, but they say more fruit and veggies and 'complex' carbs where the body has to work to break them down (vs refined honkie flour & cracker sugar ) aids colon health...

I'm having fruit and or vegetables with every meal

I haven't had any beef as they say to avoid it

The diet with the bag and the diet after the bag are different. But yes vegetables are a key for me to eat along with proteins of course. I just avoid fruits with stubborn little seeds. Honestly unused to enjoy vegetables like a little kid does and just push them around the plate but now I just eat then first and actually might start liking them. The vegetables need to be cooked for my bag diet. And I have to avoid anything that gives me has because I can't control the gas and if I ever want to be in public like I was at my daughters graduation last night the gas could be incredibly embarrassing. Luckily I didn't have any last night but during moments of silence like a prayer or presentation of colors it would have been terrible.

They say beer causes gas and I've heard it also from someone who's had the bag so I'm avoiding it. Plus I'm counting calories and don't want to waste them on a beer if that makes since. In really trying to loose rate at a reasonable pace over the next three months and having the bag and being restricted on the amount of food helps keep me in line.

You wouldn't want the bag to explode with too much gas in it!

Gary, I'd like to lay some snarky comment on you tonight, but it'll just have to wait... I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you continue to improve.

I think its totally out of line for the media with their bully pulpit to be hammering California Chrome's owner as a "sore loser". I know a number of horse people that have questioned the issue for many years. Years before he finally spoke up.

The purpose of the Triple Crown isn't the "Belmont Stakes single race".
The purpose of the Triple Crown is to run all 3 races, and try to win all 3 races.
Otherwise why call it the "Triple Crown".

Bunch of media hacks...

I was wondering your opinion on the subject. And I agree with him. Perhaps not the right place to voice his thoughts, but it made for the most impact. To me it's like playing against a pitcher throwing a perfect game and sending the fastest guy you have up to bunt. You just don't do it. The horses should absolutely have to race all three, they don't even have to race hard, but they should have to complete the course.

And I've seen tons of people (as always) complaining about how brutal horse racing is. If anything, it seems, the racing horses would get treated like kings. They're worth huge amounts of money, both to purchase, and in what they can pay off.
