I know right

I pay interest to a couple of individuals on some real estate loans and they require me to report to them and for them the exact around I paid them.

Lazy bastards

You're talking the big island though only right? I would not go there, too touristy for sure. The other islands are where it's at.

Both Maui and Kauai trump the Bahamas IMO. Never been to Tahiti for comparison but then again I'm not interested in going there anyway lol.

I was stationed at MCAS Kaneohe for a 3-week TAD. I visited Maui and just wasn't all that impressed (when compared to what everyone said I would see). It's not a bad place by any means, I just felt a little let down by it. I didn't make it to Kauai because I didn't have time.

Might have my car sold tomorrow.
It's been fun but time for a change. My next project will actually be driven a lot more than this one. But that's probably gonna be put on the back burner for a little while.

That's an odd way to do it. Usually the lender gives the 1099's.

Well it's not a mortgage interest thing. It's me reporting the interest income they received from me. Much like a bank sends a 1099-INT for the savings account or money market interest they paid someone.

Rented a harley for a day and drove around the island until the road stopped; then turned around and drove back. Good times. Got pix if you're interested.
Did you drive the north side of the island on the road to Kahakuloa? Some super scary roads there! Way worse than the Road to Hana.

Definitely a cool trip to the volcano. My poor sister in law got car sick on the way up from all the twisty winding roads. But worth it

The only other islands I've been to are Bermuda and Aruba. Bermuda has the nicest people and pink sand beaches. We went in November and it was too chilly to get in the water, but it is expected with it being so close to the east coast. Not as warm as Florida in the winter, that's for sure. But they do have The Swizzle Inn which is a lot of fun (but not for kids).

I liked the water in Aruba better than Hawaii. Deep sea fishing is super cheap because you don't have to go far to get to blue water. My husband caught a blue marlin there....so now his life is complete, lol. Check out the Tamarijn online. We stayed there and all of the rooms are right on the beach. Only two story buildings. It's all inclusive and kids stay, play and eat free per paying adult. They have a rock climbing wall and other stuff for the kids. Plus you can use the restaurants at the sister resort next door (Divi).

Wish I could do an extended vacation. I've been wanting to take an extended road trip for a long time, but I'm just not sure if the finances will work out for me to take it when I want this year.

Just happened to notice today that my sunroof has been up for a week. Good thing it hasn't rained.
