Zoe made the freshman school volleyball team. I don't think it was ever in doubt but if she didn't make it I was really worried how she'd adjust without playing volleyball. She'd have been crushed more than any kid I know of. I was afraid it would effect her grades she'd be so down. I wish she would have made JV though and so does she.

Zoe is an ultra competitive overachiever type. She's basically like a Rudy. She's 5'1" and 120 pounds and isn't the fastest or the strongest but she works the hardest and the coaches all love her. She's the exact same way in school and in life. She sets her goals and then stops at nothing to exceed them. She runs like 3 miles a day just because she wants to run it faster each day. As long as somebody doesn't come along and screw all of that up I won't have to worry about her at all in life.
She also annoys me because she always has to be early and will never ever ever miss a practice much less a game. If practice is at 10:00 I have to have her at the gym by 9:45 or she gets nervous and sick to her stomach. She played a volleyball game two days after having all her wisdom teeth cut out.
I honestly don't know what we did to make her this way. She is a second born sibling
She recently decided she wants to be a lawyer and play volleyball in college. We will see how she does on those goals.

I wish I had that kind of motivation. I'm a second born too. Not sure where my parents went wrong.
