Hey I talked to Tasca Ford performance shop today about a rear gear install. Do you all think that $460 is a reasonable price? They said it was $180 for the gear set & then 4 hours at $115/hr.
IDK what to do, I really want the gears but Gary's 4x4 S197 comment is eating me alive too. I just don't think I want to spend 2k on a suspension kit right now.

I'd definitely go with the gears over the suspension though.

That doesnt sound like a bad price at all. It sounds reasonable to me.

Get the gears. I was kidding about the 4x4 thing.
$460 is a little high, but worth it knowing it will be done right at a place like Tasca.

My video is choppy though. Probably because of rooting it. Dunno.
Have you tried QIK yet? You can stream video live and we can watch you as you go! I want to try that for my trip to Ocean City. Use up Verizon's bandwidth for the 8 hour drive!

No kidding, the people who really kill me are the ones who drive from up here to Florida for vacation... why would you do that when you can jump on a plane and be there in 3.5 hours???

It's not that bad of a drive. It's something like 408 miles from here to the hotel. The ride down goes quicker than the ride back. The George Washington Bridge can be backed up pretty bad. The Tappen Zee Bridge is usually better. Connecticut and Jersey are the long boring parts.

I'm not to crazy about flying. I've gone from Boston to Ashville NC, and from Worcester to Ashville, but that's been it. I don't think I could be cooped up in a tin can for that long these days.

It's amazing how little things we say to each other here effect how we feel about our cars. Or rather reinforce what we already know.
Months ago after my Shelby brake duct/PIAA light mod in the front grill I stated that because of the heat exchanger I couldn't have working brake ducts. Sean said that don't tell anyone they don't work because that would be rice. Well that stuck with me. And bugged me. And soon I'm gonna rip that stuff out and change it more or less because of that. It's not that I care that much about what he thinks, instead its that he said what I was already thinking. Then it festers.
