Yeah. That place will do that to you.
JASON! OH ****
Good to hear you're alive. How's it going man?
Why single me out? Just what are you insinuating? Hell, I went to college too.
It said 100%.
But I catch myself speaking differently depending on who I'm around.
Around people that I don't know that well, or people that seem to sound more "average" than me I might utter a phrase like this:
"When that son-of-a-***** blew up, the rod went completely through the side of the block."
Around people that I've known all my life it would come out like this:
"Win 'at sum***** blowed uuup, it slung the rod plum through the siiide of the block".

And once again we are alot alike. I change my speech depending on whom I'm talking to. My wife always tells me about it. If the person I'm talking to is country then I'll talk that way, if they speak in a more educated voice I'll change mine to match. I don't like making the other person feel uncomfortable. It's just the way I am. When I'm talking to my brothers I really sound like a hick, but when I'm talking to maybe a doctor or a lawyer we might be building a house for I'll use the king's English (without the accent).

Mirror and match...
Body language speaks as well.

So almost half of the U.S. calls it pop, followed by coke. We call it "refresco" here.

I'm born & raised in St. Louis - its definitely soda.
And the only reason its pop here in Oregon is because its 'soda-pop'. Either way, I rarely drink the stuff.
Point of note: only the Atlanta Region has "Chicken Coca-Cola" listed in cookbooks! LOL

Outer suburbs/farms of St. Louis County was a nice place to grow up. But I needed to be at the other end of Lewis & Clark's Adventure Trail. (I think that was the RR in me...)

It's a really nice townhouse too, 2 master bedrooms on the top level, living room, kitchen and dining room on the next level down and then 2 more bedrooms on the next level under that and 2 car garage beneath that! It's in a little townhouse cluster with a built in swimming pool
I'm 52% Dixie. Barely in Dixie (I guess that's about right, I live barely south of the Mason-Dixon line, lol)
and we call it soda here
