Since sunday, I've been really been searching for tires. $180 of my dollars is going towards a set of used tires and alignment (I'm gonna find 4 for a hundred, and 79 for alignment). That spin really drove that point home to me*. There's a set of 4 31 inch Maxxis buckshot mudders for 100 with half tread, but they're too far away I think (100 miles, toooo far), and I just ran across an ad for some stock size Light Truck All Terrains, getting more info on that, they're $80 for all 4 with "good tread."

I really want 31's though...

*But it was still in awesome in that whole "we didn't die... wanna do it again?" kinda ways. I wanna get a full 360 spin next time (planned though)

That deserves a couple of cold ones Gary

Those rampaging turkeys are welcome at my place, at least for dinner.

AODE/4r70w transmissions do that right out of the box. Wait 'till you put a shift kit in it

In other news the wife wants a Stang really bad. We both seen a Silver 2001 GT in town and thought that it wasnt it that bad of shape. Well then she saw this one After considering everything and going thru AM we both figured out that what we would put into the Silver one that one already has it done to it. Plus it is 3 years newer with less mileage. She contacted the guy that has it and looks like we might be getting it. She is also going to be asking why it has a rebuilt title. I will give an update when I get one.
That car looks great! Hope it wasn't involved in a big wreck and it was fixed properly. Titles here are just normal or salvage, so you never know what to expect on cars here

I noticed today that the Bronco chirps the tires when I turn left or right and accelerate. Could that be because someone put a locking differential in the rear? Not just limited slip, but no slip. Because the tire that lays rubber when I turn to the right is the right tire. The one that travels the shorter distance?

Does that make sense to you Eduardo?

My dad's truck use to squeal its tires like heck no matter which way he turned. It was especially bad on cloverleafs.

Well the Bronco passed inspection on the second try today.

So I'm street legal. Of course the brakes are shot and the exhaust has more than one leak but I guess they didn't care about that. Thank goodness.

I just got back from scheduling an appointment tomorrow to have the bedliner sprayed on the bumpers, rocker panels, and removable top. This time tomorrow there will no longer be anything tan or gold on the Bronco. Nor will there be any link to Eddie Bauer, other than the embroidered seats which are also not long for this world.

I'm also getting tinted on the all the side windows. Nothing on the back as I don't think tint would even last a week on that window. There's tons of grit on the weatherstrip and down inside the tailgate that would just cut it all to shreds. The guy told me he could do it, but it would not last.

I still think it's a limited slip unit. It may chirp that particular tire bec. the unit senses it will loose traction on the inner one and then locks on the outside tire for max traction. My friends Malibu does that after he swapped the rear end. His transmission has a shift kit and either tire chirps when sifting from 1st to 2nd with that one, while with the factory one it only chirped the right tire. On my Mustang I don't know if one or both chirp when shifting, but on a burnout, both spin

OK. I know its a limited slip because that's what they put in them, but I thought maybe it was doing more, because the limited slips in my other trucks since then have never done that. That I noticed anyway.
