I was thinking it could be as dark as this:
Or it might have even more of a burgandy hue, but I would expect that there could possibly be a slight variation from what the 2010 F 150 was. This photo was far easier to photoshop than the candy red that I used last time.
Edit: I hate that carpet color. Why would any self respecting auto show use such a horrible color.

I gotta tell ya. Even the Harley Pic's, as clear as they are, do NOT do it justice. I was floored when I saw it in person while at the MCA Meeting in Dallas. I knew then I had to have it. The color changes with the light, and gosh, that metalic in her sparkles like no other. the closest I can recal was the Mystic back on the SN-95 Cobra's, but that was Green/Blue. this is Cherry/Black/Pearl all enhanced with different lighting. WE are going to LOVE IT!!!

Does anyone know how similar or different the Black Cherry Mica on the Mazda CX-7 is to Lava Red? You would have to see one in person to really see the color though. I saw one today and thought this might be as close to seeing Lava Red as I will get anytime soon.

Ordered my 2012 GT Premium on 1/3/10. 401A,3.73,Brembos,Glass Roof,Hood scoop and spoiler,,I also ordered the dark stainless grill and lower front fascia (like the C/S) with fog lights. I was set to order ebony but wanted a metallic paint. It was between Kona and Lava. I really hope I made the right choice. Anyone else choose Lava? I hope it doesnt look too purple in sunlight and is dark and shiny in the shade! Post pics if anyone gets any of the stang in Lava Please

That is wierd it would not take that color code,,oh well if you truely want Lava I would send a message to one of the guys who work for Ford on this site,,I am sure they will help you change it,,U probably have a few weeks since my order is still awaiting sched right now. If not I am sure you will love the Kona!
