thanks for the tip scott, i never lifted the car up by that, so of course im a little hesitant. ill look into it more.
also a question on the discs for the side exhaust. do you know what the factory size of the hole is? compared to the ones you sell?
thanks,

any chance you can take a pict of the side well where you jack it up so i know im looking at what i think it is?? sorry, not too mechanically inclined here...

I will see what I can do on Sunday. In the mean time if you look just on the inside of the side plastic rocker molding you will see a big metal lip pointed down from wheel to wheel, that is the pinch weld. You will also see points where is separates, that helps with the lifting.

The stock disc is 5/16. The ones I have had made start at 1/2 then 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 and one inch. It does not sound like a big difference between them but it does make a big difference in the sound.

thanks,
I raised the rear of the car (after raising the front) by raising the differential with a piece of wood and a floor jack. I then put jackstands with wood under the pinch joints of the rear rocker panels.

2012yellowboss, i might be interested in your 5/8" plates. do you think i would have any trouble with emissions here in MD with those in since they are after the cats? let me know if you have them and what i need to do to get a pair.
thanks,

thanks,
The pinch welds are very strong and I actualy prefer to lift on the pinch welds and use jack stands with blocks on the frame points and axle at the rear. There is also another lift point circled in yellow on our cars, this comes from a good authority that actually designed it.

I will send you a PM on the discs so I don't hijack another thread. For the emissions I can not say 100% but I am 99.999% sure it will not have any effect on the emissions.

Getting back to the pics, sorry but I do not have the car right now. I took the same pic and marked in orange where I lift with a jack and pad. The blue areas are where I use the jack stands. The red lines are where I lift at the track to get both tires on one side in the air, I do that since it makes life easy but when you have time it is best to do one wheel at a time.

This past weekend I raised my car on a 2 post lift , we set the lifting pads exactly where you have circled, I was nervous and it was tough to squeeze by the side pipes but worked perfectly without crushing anything at all.

Looks good. I'm surprised I haven't so much as scraped mine on the street yet. Now if I can just avoid tearing the whole front clip on my first 4 wheel off on the track

Looking good. So you removed the hood decal? Anything else? Can you please post a photo of the whole car? Just last night I started thinking about removing my hood decal for like the 10th time. LOL

Have you thought about having the stock wheels powder coated in a matte finish? I have though about doing matte black everywhere where it is currently gloss......
