Dropped off the 70 ... err, I mean 12 Boss

Have the Boss in for some paint work. Getting the roof painted and the deck lid, spoiler and hood going flat. Should be a few days but can wait.
Did have some good luck, at least I hope so, look in the window. That was totally by chance

Yep, the roof will be body color. the deck lid and spoiler will be paint, I am hoping to do a sticky thing on the hood like the original if I can find someone good, otherwise I will need to paint it.
I really think it will look sweet, after all there is a reason they painted the deck lid and hood flat back in the day, I have already gotten a few bright glares comming off the new spoiler on sunny days. I just hope the side stripes and wheels don't clash too much with the top being matte. We shall see, no turning back now
The only way the number could have been better would have been 12302.

Very cool!
Are you going to add a flattening agent to the clear or use a single stage flat black to obtain your desired look? I had a flat black primer at one time on my Mach, but switched to a clear coat with a flattening agent (PPG Ebony/clear coat flattening agent)) and am MUCH happier!

Flat black with no clear, !!NO!! You can not leave urethane paint without clear. It will oxidize and practically comes off with your fingernail. Urethane base must have clear coat to protect it. Ask them to get with their paint company and supply them with the matte clear. It usually comes with a flattening agent and instructions to achieve different levels of sheen i.e. flat, eggshell, semi. I strongly suggest eggshell. Flat tends to turn white and extremely finicky to maintain. Eggshell is more closer to the original look too. But under no circumstances allow them to only shoot base coat!!

I will have to ask them about that tomorrow.
Can't wait to see the results Scott! Mine is at the body shop too but only to get a 3M front end protection package added. I'll shoot some photos of the rear wing when it comes home, it turned out great!
In for results!!
