Anyone received their Boss Gloves? I got a call from Ford regarding the gloves but wasn't able to reach them to give my glove size.

 

Looks like I'm SOL too. Ford is cheap to send me one even though the car was bought in the U.S.

Deysha was going to see if it would be made available (at a cost) for us Canadian Boss owners...but I haven't heard an update on that in a bit.

Deysha, Is there any more on this?

Seriously, I'd be willing to pay Ford Racing for time and materials on this. Screw Ford Canada, if they won't make this right I simply will continue to bad mouth them and never buy a Ford this side of the border again. How they could take a halo product like this that stopped me buying my 6th BMW and screw it up is beyond me. I regret selling a few Friends on Shelby's this year too. That won't happen again. Or Ford Canada could do the right thing and I'll give them full credit.

 

I've planted the seed, cobrajetjoe. I'm sure once all the BOKs are sent out to the owners, they can go further into it.

In addition to the satisfaction of owning the greatest "pony-car" ever built that has been in continuous production since 1964?

 

I didn't realize that you bought the car for the owners package and not the car itself.

I think the package is cool and all, but I'd be just as happy with the car even if the package wasn't included. If was optional I don't know if I'd buy it. I spent the $$$ for the 444 hp and the suspension goodies. Oh and the history and heritage is nice as well.

I bought the car based on hype. Expected track key, track day and owners kit. I also expected to buy a '13 as well for a matching set. I live the car and have said so on this forum and elsewhere. I feel Ford of Canada benefitted from all the US marketing, PR and Articles and managed to sell the cars at significant markup without lifting a finger. So IMHO, they can easily pick up the tab for the owners package.

 

 

Is that why you buy BMW's too????

Hype alone, no. But as an owner of some big and small block '67 to '70 Cougars, the one 'Stang that always intrigued me was the Boss 302. Having missed my chance to own an original here was a car hyped to be the true successor. And better yet, it came with all kinds of goodies. So before my dealers even had heard if it, before the colours were announced I plunked down a 5k deposit to get an early one. Yes, at this point hype more than any "facts" about the car were driving my decision to have one.

As for Bimmers, great cars. When they aren't suffering electrical gremlins.

 

I want to sell my '65 Fastback and get a '13 Boss to go with my '12. Only if there is really a two year run.
