The 2015 can have a 1/4 window like this...and then everything will be fine!

The next generation should not have any styling cues from a 1974-2004 Mustang at all. It also better not look like a 2-dr 2013 Fusion.

SN95 was one of the best selling models. Just proves that what it should look like doesn't make any sense to those actually buying, not what the enthusiast market says. The SN proved that the aftermarket will work with whatever it's given.

I hope there's a bit of the fusion in the Mustang. One of the best looking cars to catch in your mirror IMHO. Just widen, lower and inset that grill slightly and give me a fast back rear with a bit of a tail and a tapered roof line and I will be over the moon.

While I completely agree that the Fusion looks fantastic, the problem is that it looks a bit like an Aston Martin from the front which is OK for the Fusion. However I don't want my Mustang to look like any other car - it should be unique like, well a Mustang.

It's time to stop looking backwards.

Looking like every other 2 door coupe out there isn't looking forward. Also it doesn't have to be retro to be a unique Mustang. It can have Tri-bar taillights that can be modern and still very identifiable as "Mustang".

Mustangs and Astons have looked similar before, so I have no problem with it.

Agree. To a point. The '05 was a great reset. Now we need the car to evolve properly. Think 911.

Yes but the Aston looked like a Mustang in this case. The Mustang's style was being emulated here.

There's never been a 911 that looked like anything other than a Porsche 911 and that's the standard Ford should use for what is essentially Ford's halo car. Yes it should move forward but it should evolve not try t be something it is not IMHO.

With everyone asking for a full fastback design, that design element will be common among them all if that is indeed what we get.

That doesn't mean it will look the same.

I'd much rather they went towards the Aston Martin/Maserati/front-engine Ferrari look than anything else. Those all have full "fastback" designs and they are all extremely attractive cars, head and shoulders above any asian vehicle.
