I actually find this front end quite interesting. I like the way the grille opening looks like a mouth of Cobra with fangs that is fixin' to strike. I kind of like the black mask coming down from the headlamps to the wheel opening which reminds me of the related treatments the new Boss Falcon has. Aside from that, the rest of this rendering just looks like a slightly modified current bodystyle with too many stripes.

These are trying too hard to look like a retro 1971-73 model. I'd like to see more imagination than this. Retro is done. Let the Mustang evolve but not alienate!

This design in post #467 is the best I have seen yet. Love the way the back flows.

Exactly and since the Mustang is a pony car, as opposed to a muscle car, it should be light, lean and something in between.

Anyway, that said, I don't like the many clunky, blocky, heavy-looking, tank-like renderings that we've seen. That is not what the Mustang should look like in my book.

OK, not a Photoshop, but there's a lot here to show how the classic '69 shape can be subtly updated....

I agree. I kind of like his drawing. I would leave out the window louvers though.

"this sticker is dangerous and inconvenient but boy do i love fig newtons"

Seriously though, that's a slick rendition. I think the era of the 67+ is where the Mustang is currently targeting. It can probably be played for more generations but it will have to change, regardless of what we all think. The 2010+ Mustangs changed and even though many are on the fence, it has won over many other customers. They can't keep building the 2005 model for 50 years.

I will once I complete my move back to NJ.
Right now it's low on the priority list as opposed to packing boxes.
Just bare with me and it shall happen.

Am I the only one who thinks Doug should focus more on his chop than moving to NJ??

Nope.
But then, I'd like to spend more time sketching too... I've got ideas running into each other in my head like carnival bumper cars, but between work and classes, I've got no time to put them down on paper yet. Stupid priorities...

Doug, best wishes with your move, bud. Being a military brat and then enlisting myself, I know how much "fun" that can be.
