Those front end's look real aggressive, they look like an evolution of the New edge.

While there isn't much love for the SN95's. I was thinking on my way to work as I passed by a GT that the new edge really did seem like the "future" of the Mustang. I get it that the S197's really did define the new Mustang. I also feel like the future of the Mustang is its own. In some regards I think that Ford really had something going with the SN95. I like them all really and just feel pretty open to new ideas for the Mustang and haven't really closed the door on the SN95's bigger hips and more curved body lines. If the chassis had been more solid, the engine had continued to improve and the interior hadn't been so cheap looking. I think they would have been just as close now to performing with the Euro sports cars with an SN95 derivative had it carried on. I don't know, I'm just not against a non S197 continuation either. I just want to see what does happen and hopefully I like it.

So you look inside. the seats on the 05 are waaaaaaaaay thicker then the 72, more comfy yes, but the 72 never felt uncomfortable to me. The 72 has about 2" more ground clearance then my car as well. So the interior of the the car is theoretically 6" narrower (top to bottom) then my 05, yet someone 6'1" 325 is more comfortable in the 72??????

Granted all the electronics and airbags and whatever have to go somewhere, but make the car smaller and engineer more room into the interior. different foam in the seat that absorbs shock but takes up less space, reduce the size of pwr seat motors, high tension steel for the seat supports welded to the floor to reduce the support size, telescoping wheel to adjust for smaller/larger drivers, the list can go on and on.

My only other ? is why the huge trunk. I know many people love it. but why do I need to be able to carry four golf bags when I can only carry two golfers?
I have a similar feeling/complaint here. On most new cars, including my new Mustang (and even my Jeep Liberty), I am always hitting my head when trying to get in to the car. This has *never* happened on any of the 70's/80's cars I've gotten in to. What the hell?

Do you think headroom and visibility would be a problem in this one?

The most problematic thing would be getting a hold of 275/5/30 tires

That's actually a picture of the 2015 Spare. It is an inflatable Mustang that come packed on the Trunk.

Mustang III ???

Smaller, lighter, better gas mileage........all good things, unless we really are in for a new Mustang II. No offence, I appreciate the II's place in Mustang history, but that's a period we don't need to relive

This is getting scary. Ford needs to tease us with something to give us confidence the 2014 will be a desirable Mustang! Concept car, please Ford.

I have always believed that the 1994 Mustang was the first "retro/modern interpretation" of the Mustang. To be honest, it has completely obvious styling cues from the original formula. That being said, maybe there is some hope for the new design.

Which I think was a pretty good starting point....
