I'm not sure what this concept is (Focus of some sort? -- It came up in a discussion about the Mercury Capri), but I like it. It could be adapted to give us a potential look at a smaller Mustang mentioned in the leaks thread. More pronounced fender flares, shorter in length, and still has some sharp lines (I like the fender flare/rear quarter panel area). Change the roofline/window line, front end, could have some potential...

No offence, but I think this is exactly what everyone is hoping it doesn't look like. Is this an actual concept, or just a photoshop? Looks like an RX8 with a Ford front end.

I'm not suggesting a new Mustang look exactly like this as much as I'm saying that there are design cues here that could translate well into a new Mustang design. We know that this is likely to be Ford's design language for the foreseeable future, so we can look to this design for cues that could be used across the product line. Hence, the pronounced fender flares, the trapezoidal grill, etc.

I think the area highlighted in blue would actually be a great body line if they were to lean towards a modernization of the New Edge Mustangs. Taper it off into a fastback and we can start to see a Mustang take shape, at least in the ear quarterpanel area.

To be honest, that front end looks similar to the current 500... I mean Taurus.

And, this is the kind of look that I hope DOES NOT get put on the next Mustang.

I would totally take one of these! Just as long as it is NOT a Mustang replacement, it has a Front Engine RWD. Possibly a 4 cylinder Turbo engine. If I can't get a Mustang then I would love to see a RWD alternative that's fun and light.

But this is no Mustang. And it's not what I was thinking of as a replacement. This is a Probe replacement, only a better one.

I think that might be a reskinned RX-8 which means it was pre-Mazda break off.

looks like it could be something along the lines of the interceptor. make it a 4 door, RWD, V8 (optional) and we'd have a cool family friendly version of the mustang

Don't worry, it's just a Photoshop from Auto Express, a UK mag that has little merit for the enthusiast.

That chop was based on Visos concept.....a potential design for a new Capri/Focus coupe

It's no more worthy of being a Mustang replacement than the Probe was back in the early 90s.

I don't have photoshop but I have Goggle Sketched before, give me some time I usually don't have time to play with stuff anymore so let me get some wizardry going. When I say wizardry, I mean like when Fry tries to play the Holophonor from Futurama, without the Devil robot's hands.

This was from Page 7 of this Thread. I think it has a lot going for it. Mustang cues, Muscular stance and over all look, and still very new and fresh.

They will have to shrink those wheels down so Tires will fit in there though.

That's what I thought. The one just to the right isn't a bad one either but lower right is too Mustang II for me.

I wish they would make some thing like this. It is so tuff looking and flows nice.








These were more official sketches of the 2010, but often point the way to the next-gen cars down the line. The rear ends are gorgeous
