That would make a nice taurus coupe, but idk for a mustang. Ford has to be careful about putting too many of their global design cues in there.
At this point, the mustang's styling is so unique it's almost its own brand.

Yep, they are official renderings of the 2010 GT500. The image below was an official rendering of the 2005 GT, my point being that this car actually looks more like the 2010 GT. So, following that theory, there's a small chance that the next gen car may look similar to the 2010 rendering (hope you catch my drift )

Exactly. If it appals to people over the Pond, why change it? I believe Fords major Demographic is the younger generation, whether "here or there".
My biggest concern is can the younger gen able to afford it.

However, unlike say the Porsche 911, the Mustang has deviated in the past, most notibly with the Fox era cars. Yes, they were proper pony cars, but in terms of looks, there were very different. Even the much maligned Mustang II still had the traditional styling cues from 65-68, even if they looked a bit "hall of mirrors".
The SN95 picked up a more European/Asian look, whilst still applying a few traditional styling cues.
The S197 took us full circle.
For me, Ford could have kept a completely retro look (I'd be all over a '69 inspired look) but it seems they're now at a crossroads.
I think we'll see S550 has influences of both the S197 (and therefore the early classics) but mixed with a bit more new-New Edge, plus some new features to bring it bang up to date.
I have faith it'll be a stunner.

IMO, if the new Mustang is going to look like this, instead of "Revolution of the Species" , the title should read "End of the Species". Admit it, if the Pony badge was not there, who would even recognize it as a Mustang. If this is even close to what the Design Engineers at Ford come up with for the 2014 1/2 Mustang, Ford would be better off laying the "Mustang" model to rest after its 50 year run and introduce the new model as the global "Ricetang" model. I am sure that it will do well in Asia.

Either way, I personally hope the style carries over. I speaking more to the blacked out look, and the LED rope light look.

It's going to be a tough job for sure, but I'm confident Ford's design team knows what they're doing. I haven't been dissapointed yet!
