Hmmm, maybe that's why my old rep no longer returns my calls.

I let them know. My old rep isn't responding to my text messages anymore. I'm guessing he's on vacation or gone. I've been dealing with someone else, who is new, but much more responsive.

I looked at it from Google Earth and street view, and there's a huge lot full of cars being loaded on trucks. 1000's of cars. I'm tempted to drive by and see how full the lot is. I just might do that when I pick up the kids today.
I am glad you know where it is and it is close. The loading of the trucks is a task itself so it gets loaded right. Is nice if all the cars go to the same dealer, but if not, they have to get furthest dealer to closest (usually, unless taking more than 1 load a day) and it will take a little time.

Cotus still shows mine as awaiting shipment, but end shows 8 days. I won't be surprised if it is much later than that when it arrives, but would be happy if it was on time so I can install stuff over next weekend.

1 to 5 days sounds more reasonable than the 2 weeks I was told.

Here are some screenshots of what the railyard our cars are at looks like. There is a closeup of the cars, railcars, and car haulers. Then there is a low res shot of the whole thing.

It's located in Spring TX between I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road. If you look north of 1960 you can see where they park the railcars. South of 1960 is where the lot with the cars is located. It is right across the street from Gulf States Toyota. I wonder if they just drive their cars across the street to the dealership, or if they are required to load them up and deliver them across the street.

Ordered 12\31\14
Vin: 1\28
Order Processing complete: 2\20
Window sticker 2\21
Production complete 2\27
Released 2\28
Awaiting shipment since 2\28

No one knows the whereabouts of the car or why it has not been shipped in a whole month. Clearly the car must of been damaged during the pre-shipment process or something because there's no reason why this car is taking this long to ship. Very upset with this process. My salesman cant figure it out and Deysha and Crystal cant tell me anything either. I'm Not sure what to do at this point.

I'd escalate it up the Customer Service chain with Ford. Actually call and speak with someone that has authority to tell you what is going on.

Hope you guys get yer cars soon! I have a question here. My car had 22 miles on it. My dealer says they didn't drive it. I tend to believe them. Cause it pretty much came off the truck right before I got there. I've ordered a few cars in my life. And most had 2-5 miles on them. And the yackamo who was getting in and out of it kept hitting the lower door and the trim below it with his/her dirty shoes. The dealer took care of that during the prepping. My sales rep said the mileage was normal. I didn't really buy that. 22 miles!? Think about that....that's quite as bit in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I think all of us that were part of the hold will have lots of miles from all the moving that was done during the process.

My 2014 had 75 miles when delivered. I was expecting 10 or less.

Don,
Several of the vehicles in a particular day's production get selected at random for evaluation testing. The testing is a drive test around a course and the evaluator is looking to verify that there are no strange noises, bumps, squeaks, rattles, etc. Most come off the line and go through OBD testing only and then straight to transport but a few go through this evaluation process to make sure the day's batch are built correct. So, with 22 miles, your car most likely was evaluated and received extra testing before shipping.

It’s at the last rail yard waiting on a truck to pick it up and deliver it to your dealer, LinckG.

As far as the whereabouts, it’s still at the plant, Silver50Pony. I know the delayed vehicles started shipping slowly but surely. I’m sure yours will get moving soon.

This is normal for a vehicle that was selected at the factory for quality checks/runs, Spiker52. Normally there is a paper inside the vehicle stating so. Have them check the paperwork if they still have it.

I just need to know if the car was damaged or not. No one can tell me anything. I was told by a couple Ford salesman and a couple co workers who used to work for ford tell me that shipment is no more then 10 to 15 days after release from plant. Its been close to 30. MY current car is failing and I was counting on the mustang being here to fix my current car, while I drive the mustang. I'm in a bad spot and I need the mustang in. Its been 3 months since I've ordered

It just arrived at the last rail yard yesterday, Waiting. It now has to wait on the trucking company to pick it up and deliver it to your dealer.

I understand where you’re coming from, Silver50Pony. We won’t get any detailed information from the plant, as that is proprietary. I’m sure it’s just stuck in the process of releasing all of the delayed orders.

I really hope your right Deysha. Regardless though on the fact that the company is saying that the information is proprietary , I have a legal binding contract to the exact car I've ordered. Therefore I believe the information with my exact car that i have contracted with the dealer should be proprietary between me and ford motor company. So is there a certain person I can contact to figure out the exact status of the car?

I ordered my car on 2/16 and it looks like it was manufactured on 3/17 but has been sitting at "awaiting shipment" ever since then. The "estimated delivery" date was 3/20 - 3/26 but still no car. Any way you could help me track this down?

One point to note... My dealer is 45 minutes drive time from the plant so... Just curious what the hold up is on shipping. I PM'd details to Ford Service.

My story is a little different than most as my extended wait was self-imposed. I ordered my 2015 Mustang fastback in Ruby Red with the works (minus the performance package) back on the 4th of December of 2014. I think the dealer placed the order by the 11th. I didn't worry about the arrival as I told them I would pick it up when the snow was gone at the end of March 2015. It arrived at the dealership within the second week of February 2015. I went to visit her, and I got to work on insurance and parking. -- Well, the day is about to arrive. Everything is in place and I'm picking her up on Monday, March 30, 2015. The countdown is less than 3 days, and I, too, am finding it hard to believe that this car is finally going to be mine. Kudos to all who've worked hard and waited long for what they've desired. I'll post some pics after Monday once she's home!!! I can hardly wait!!!

So, my car arrived about a week ago via train. My dealer is being coy and talking in half sentences. Beyond frustrating. They told me my car is scheduled for pickup today, which I learned is not the same as scheduled for delivery. When I went to the dealer they said they are working on it. I asked what does that mean and they reiterated that they are working on it. Whaaattt??? Terrible customer service, unapologetic about the delays, but he said he wants to sell me the car more than I want to buy the car. Yeah, forget customer service. Its OK if I leave pi$$ed, as long as you make your numbers for the month. Ugh.
