Salesman Called train is moving again, But EDD has changed also (not in a good way either) Now 4/3/2015 Good Friday !!

 

Hmm, I hope that's not what happens with mine. I'm leaving town then. I was counting on driving the mustang. I guess we'll see what happens.

 

I'm at the dealer. They think it's here. I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

I didn't expect it to be true. They had a big shipment today and thought it might not be checked in. It wasn't here. I did find it that it hit Roe, Arkansas last night at 11:12pm. My eta is still March 26 to April 1 according to the Vehicle Visibility Report. I didn't get the railcar number, but it's 480 miles away. That's close. I expect I'll get it on schedule. As long as I get it before Friday next week, I'll have it in time to drive it up to see my family for Easter.

 

Picked mine up a couple hours ago. The dealer went to the transporters lot to pick it up since it would have been Thursday before I would have gotten it if we waited for them to deliver. Thursday I have an appointment to get the window tinting done. I have pictures that I will post tomorrow.

 

That is going to be an awesome trip. My fingers are crossed that it will be delivered before Friday!

Quick question, my registration for my 2012 Mustang expires on 5/9/15. The delivery date for my custom ordered 2015 Mustang shows 4/24. Should I renew the registration for my 2012 now or wait for my 2015 then renew? If I renew my 2012 now would I have to pay again when I take ownership of the 2015? I live in New York.

 

Not being from NY, I really can not say without knowing how the registration there works. PA had a set registration fee for cars when I lived there and you just transferred the plates over when replacing a vehicle. MN does it differently and charges a fee based on the vehicle value, and the plates stay with the car unless you have custom/vanity plates.

Hopefully someone from NY can inform you better on the situation, but I would wait until the last possible minute to register if I were unsure. I have always been able to get re-registered the same day through the AAA office here.

 

Funny you should post that today as I spoke with my insurance broker to find out exactly just that. I, too, am in NY and I was told that as long as you transfer the plates to the new car, the registration should transfer with it. If you are not transferring the plates, according to the NYS DMV websites information page (http://dmv.ny.gov/vehicle-registrati...nother-vehicle) you should be eligible for a prorated refund.

2/6 Placed order with dealer
2/9 Order was placed with Ford
2/19 After Deysha's help I was able to get the order number and found the order was wrong.
2/20 Had order fixed.
3/12 VIN showed up
3/17 Estimated Delivery Date of 4/20
3/24 In Production. EDD still 4/20.
No window sticker yet.

 

I would wait until the 24th or around then until you do it. You could even,wait,until just before the 9th of may. When you go on to the ny dmv website,you can renew the registration and you immediately upon payment get a temporary registration good for 2 weeks. I live in NY so I know Lol. Where in NY are you located?

Cotus now indicates that mine is in transit again and 6 days until delivery. Ordered 12/11

 

My delivery date got backed up another WEEK! My car has arrived, just waiting to get delivered from the train to the dealer.... So why another week to go the last few miles?? Grrrrrr.....

 

Your railyard must be backed up. My rail yard is 10 miles from my dealership, and I expect the train to be here any day now based on yesterday's report. I don't know is how long it gets to sit there.

What I can say is the estimated date seems to actually be an estimated week (7 days, not a calendar week), and COTUS shows the last day. For me COTUS says 4/1, but the Vehicle Visibility Report says 3/26 to 4/1. That's why I'm assuming that.
