2015 Mustang Articles

Of course there's a chance Ford could screw up, but.............whilst the Mustang may be going global, I'd imaging sales in the UK, at least, will still be minimal. If they shift 5000 in a year, I'd be pretty amazed.
So, whilst the '15 may cater for European type arroval, the design will be loyal to the country where it's designed and built.....the good 'ol US of A.
So, if they do screw it up, we won't be to blame
"screwing something up" is a personal opionion
and
"failure" is to be determined by sales.
Mutually Exclusive.
I'm guessing you're referring to the Mustang II. No, I don't like that car, it's ugly as f'. But, that car (I hate to say it) was a success. It was one of the best selling Mustangs ever.

If the mustang they produce is something that I wouldn't buy, why do I care if the mustang is produced at all, for the pleasure of others?

Happy people = sales
If the general populace likes the car and you don't.....sorry tough beans.
The Mustang is around due to sales....sales make Ford happy and keep car around....car makes people happy, and buy more cars....car sales make Ford happy....car makes people happy, and buy cars...car sales make Ford happy.....
I'll type slower if you want.

I'm slow?? Canadian, I think your brain has frostbite. If Ford has 15 million people that like the mustang the way it is and they make extreme changes that lose 15 million people, just so they can gain 15 million people across the pond, all that does is kick the first 15 million people in the *****. Apparently, you're already sold on the 2015 and you haven't even seen it. :sillyfrostbitCanadian: ...and keep in mind that 15 million is just a generic number. Lose 5 million in North America to gain 5 million in Europe same thing.

Meanwhile in the land of common sense:
- Ford doesn't have to change anything lookswise even for the current car to generate sales in Europe. If it wasn't an import, and was widely available , people would buy this car.
-the new 2015 will be no different. Its not like there's this magical dividing line that seperates what people in Europe or people in North America would like a Mustang to look like.
- just because it was mentioned/rumored a while back about Fords World of studios putting their 2 cents on the design, just because a cue or idea may have been brought over from Europe, it would be pretty insulting to say that designers over there don't have clue one about what a Mustang 'should look like'.
I would venture to say that selling this car in Europe would draw the numbers equal to or lower than the number sold in Canada(not knowing the price is of course). Gas is more expensive in both countries by comparison to the states....with Europe being the priciest. So EVEN if say this so called European Mustang was created for 2015, do you really think they'd be designing something to alienate where the bulk of the sales would be? I think not. A Mustang is a Mustang. There may be things on the car for the different safety and regulatory rules, but that is no different than what happens now with the car in Canada. (see current GT without Fogs)
We're in good hands...but if making a design cue that you don't like as one person and turns you off the car to gain 5,000 more sales...I'd take that in a heartbeat.

I'm personally not too worried about it. I feel the Mustang has been attractive for a long time now. If I don't like the look of the 2015 car i'm sure there will be plenty of left over 2014s just like in 04,09,12... I just hope they cool it on the rising MSRP.
I think it is key that the GT model still be available at the low 30k mark. Also the GT500 is getting dangerously close to true sport car prices. Don't get me wrong I love the Shelby but it will never be a true Corvette, Viper competitor.
