I don't mind them being HID, actually I applaude that, it's just the lenses being on the inside. I never liked them on the current model and don't see how taking away all the camo is ever going to make this not look completely crosseyed and butt ugly

I really don't care for the chrome grill trim either, but that's probably an easy fix.

I agree with you on the headlights. Don't mind them being HIDs at all but I hate them being on the inside vs the outside. Makes it look cross-eyed like the other poster said.

weird, i actually prefer that style HID on the inside vs. the standard non-HID headlights with the bulbs on the outside. I think the inside looks mean, and think the standard headlights look ugly...

By the way, I do have HIDs on my GT, but not by choice...
In Japan there is no option for halogens. The HIDs are going on me, but I think they look like terminator eyes.
Hahaha.
I agree...The 2013 Mustang and GT may be shown by weeks end. They will probably hold off on the GT500 until next Tuesday. The GT500 is the big show stopper and seeing that the Camaro ZL-1 will be there in coupe and vert form I guarantee the Shelby will show up both ways aswell... and with 30+ more HP and hopefully a better 'Ring time.

This revamp is to save costs on tooling. Notice how the V6/GT/GT-CS/Boss now have all the same style front fascia except for add on grilles/splitters/fogs. Plus the hood can be molded in the same machines...just allowing for the different cutouts (inlets) used for different models. (V6 looks to have none while the V8 has) Also the GT500 may in fact stay similar to what it has now be it tweeked. The interior should get the same updates as the 2013 flex...I doubt Sony will take the place of the Shaker this soon.

Anyone else think this will help the 11/12 resale value/depreciation?

with such a major change up front, there will be buyers looking for the 11/12 or looking for 13 due to their preference in the styling

HID's, along with anything else visual on a car is purely subjective. Some folks will love em, some will hate em. I happen to love em. No right or wrong answer.

I think the HID's look great! The rear lights are improved, never cared for the 2010-12 hood.

In reality the 2010+ stole the front fascia from the 2007-09 GT500 so exactly the same is happening here. My question is what are they going to do to the GT500 to make it look different?

Haha! Okay, that's a bit much. There's a happy middle ground to be found somewhere between those extremes...

like the GT500 the 13 only looks cros-eyed in some pictures. In person the GT500s look great with the HIDs. So i think the 13s will as well.

Well, now that you can see what you "thought" was better, are the actual HIDs so bad?

It would have been nice to integrate the antenna in the rear window.
