I may need to get you to walk me through it again, then. Even with inputting a 2013 VIN, I couldn't get it.

We had a MPT tune from a SCT handheld and I didn't go back to stock before installing the cluster. When I did the PMI on pcm with IDS, it also updated PCM to latest calibration for a Boss that I had used the VIN for. After that update, I tried to start, and realized that I had lost my tune (because this car won't run without the tune due to the mods). I simply plugged back in the SCT and when it asked I told it to "force download" the tune. It worked. I was a bit worried until I realized the tune installed and she runs great. I then loaded the asbuilt for the ABS and everything was in order.

Deer why did u do a pmi on your pcm?..i didnt think u replaced ur pcm?...i returned to stock with sct before i did my boss cluster then put my tune back on..no problems

But i have a couple dtcs for communication errors from pcm to cluster i think...no cel or lights. And they are there before and after my tune...im not worried about them...ill probably never know why..im guessing due to firmware or functionality differences between the two clusters

LOL, Because at that time, I wasnt really sure what I needed to do. When I entered the VIN for the Boss, it asked me if I wanted to download the latest callibration and I said yes. Didn't even have to go there I found out later.

I think this is how I ended with the premium vin in my PCM..how did it run with the boss calibration?

It runs great...AFTER I installed the tune back. My SCT let me force the download. We have so many mods, Boss IM, Off Road X, 90mm TB, that without the tune, it wont even run. Well it started but was surging and I only ran it for a few seconds.

I only have the o/r x pipe and aluminum driveshaft(....thinking about putting as-built from a boss pcm to see what happens till I get my tuner fixed...I have a HP tuner(had a 2008 vette) as well and they are on the verge of releasing programming for 2011 and up stangs and I will be able to tune on my own ..

Ladies and gentlemen,

I have successfully reprogrammed my PCM into a 2013.

All guages are functioning normally. I do not have a black box in the car to enable this.

I will be putting the unmodified cruise in the car to see if it works. Let you know in 15 min.

Also, you may want a tune before you drive it hard. There is a descent chunk of things different in the calibration tables. Im on the road, ill post more differences later.

I can set u up with some hardware.

Cruise works perfectly.

Everything is 100%.

As for what I did - I can honestly say I don't really know. I was on the phone with Dan trying to get my ACM programmed, but I had done something in a previous session that it wanted to program my PCM. No matter what I did, it insisted on progamming my PCM. So with Dan on the phone, I let it. And to our surprise, I had functioning guages.

This is precisely what I am concerned about. Please e-mail me with details when you can. I assume I'm ok with driving it for now, though?

I tried everything thing I could think of ... I could not get my IDS to go straight into PCM PMI like yours is doing. I did discover the you can change your VIN by just loading the PCM AS BUILT ...

Maybe its a VISTA Bug?? I have no idea ... but no matter what I do ... it says my calibration is incorrect and got go to Module Programming and PMI the PCM. But it does not do it automatically ... and he always complains my PCM is part number CR3A and not DR3A ...

What about manual vehicle entry instead of start new session?
