Bob. When you call, just tell them what you need.

Sometimes Bob has a cluster he can sell, too.

When you order the cluster from the dealer can they have the mileage set or do you have to do that on your own?

Dealer can have the mileage set for you when you order from them.

Are you going to have a correct speedometer with the boss cluster?

Very cool. But since I was planning on doing a 14 premium cluster in my 14 base, will this post any new problems if I get this 13 boss cluster for the 14 base?

AJPTurbo swapped a '13 Boss cluster into a '14 premium. I am guessing the ABS module would be the only potential issue regarding track apps with that swap, but if you have Brembo brakes, you will have the same ABS module as the Boss. It should be pretty straight forward. I would listen to what dhines, Jim and Zero have to say. Once I complete the Base to Track Apps swap, I will document any glitches and exactly what was involved.

There is only one ABS module listed for 2013+ cars so you should be good for Track Apps. Ford lowered the price of it significantly too ... Tousley has it for only $94 now .. thats like half of what it was a few months ago. I paid $150 for my used one.

Did you order thru a dealer or fordparts.com?

An online dealer. Ford programmed the odometer upon the order.

AJPTurbo, I don't think the Boss cluster has the "halo" in the cluster itself. I will check this afternoon, but it could be that physically these units wont allow my color if they are built differently. Will be interesting if you could program the cluster to do some of the my color changes by changing the led colors of back lighting. I personally could care less about my color options as everything in the car we have is the same blue/green tone.

That's what I was thinking. I'm pretty particular and I like everything to match so 90% of the time mine stays on the ice blue I think is what they call it. Even when I had my 08 I always left the mycolor and ambient lighting on green.

You could be correct. But when I was loading my tune or doing the PMI on the cluster I could see some of the speedo numbers changing from green and blue and it looks like there is a ring that could change color...I think it's a firmware in the cluster....That would make sense for the DTC I was getting saying the cluster is getting info from the PCM/ECU that is doesn't recognize. But I had my as built in the cluster so I don't know.

Maybe zero will know more about it....He may be my last hope lol

AJPTurbo, the Boss Cluster DOES have the halo. It IS programming. It is physically there. I am looking at it in my cluster. Zero......this is your mission should you choose to accept it........
