Indeed. I was almost sure the LCD boost gauge was on both 13/14!

I might be able to get this done tonight if my guy is not to busy. Otherwise next week for sure.

As for the cruise, I got mine working, but I still would like it to work OEM.

If flashing the PCM to 2013 will work, then sure.

Again, though, I would be concerned about other things being affected. Don't our cars have oil squirters or something that 2013/14 don't?

Yes, but we could adjust the calibration for this. Not a big deal.

If I order a cluster from fordparts.com, will I have any issues doing that? I mean as far as getting the correct mileage and having the dealer install it if I have it shipped to my house. Any help is appreciated.

I bet just using GT500 AS-BUILT in any cluster will activate the boost gauge.

There is more to it, though. The Shelby's have launch control, separate steering feel control and damper adjustment located on the headlight switch and is displayed on the LCD.

It would cool to have this, though.

Will they even sell you a cluster? I was under the impression that dealers won't sell the cluster unless it is an exact replacement, just like the nav.

I was on fordparts.com and was going to order it but I didn't want to run into any problems. I got as far as typing in the billing info to order it and thought id check here first.

IF they sell it to you, then you'd have to provide them with an odometer reading and a VIN so they can input the 'as built' data. Dealer won't do the odometer. It is done at the place they order the cluster from. Otherwise you'll have to send it somewhere like United Radio.

For 'as built' data, your VIN would work, but you'd lose stuff like Track Apps and some other things. If you have a service tech that is willing to work with you, he could input the 'as built' data you need using a 2013/14 VIN.

I may run up to one of the dealerships tomorrow (the one that works with me on this stuff) and talk to the parts guy. He's been there for almost 20 years and he's pretty cool and gives me great deals on everything.

Keep in mind there is a hefty core charge so if they don't accept your current cluster as a valid core you will be out the core charge. That price you see online does not include core charge. That's why most of us are buying them used.

Sorry real busy...Couple things. I don't think the boost gauge would ever work if you did the gt500 cluster in the GT. The GT's don't have a map sensor I think the GT500's do but not sure.

Sometimes when logging you can get an "inferred" Map but I don't see that in livelink for GT's. Unless maybe programming with the Scan tool would enable the ECU to make those calculations for the inferred Map/boost readings

Some dealer won't sell those clusters. It took some calling around for me to find someone that would order one that wasn't in the car to begin with. Call mike at silverstate ford. About 800 if they accept your core you will get 300 back...So plan on 500 bones.

I'm anxious to mess with the scan tool but I've had my exhaust and turbos off to rewrap them and fix my a/c line...Not a lot of work just need the time.

Thanks for the good news hines

I have read every page in this thread and there is so much information. This thread would be perfect is someone put all the conversion instructions for 11-12 and 13-14 cars all on the first page with a list of what exactly needs to be done. Great work here though.

Do I need to be hooked up to the car? I just opened the IDS Software and I don't see anything like entering vin and PMI and module programming.

I don't even know if I have all the ford programming stuff...This is kinda pissing me off...I couldn't find that task running and how to end it hines? And do I need to do that every time I open IDS?

I go to the toolbox and I don't see anything for crank relearns or neutral profile misfire monitor either?

Ok I might be getting somewhere...I'm starting to see the powertrain and body and chasis menus..But when I select module programming nothing comes up..Do I need to be hooked up to the car?

I'm not even sure if I've activated the ford module programming or how I would know if I even did

The only thing you can do without plugging into car is manually enter a VIN. After everything is installed and working you need to run the extender program to enable the module programming.

Matt ... I can now connect using the J2534 Software. Not sure how to use it but it connects. The only message I get is something about Rx buffer is empty so I don't see any information in any of the tabs.

Also .. VCM IDS is working well. I had added the Reverse sensors and module to my car a while back. I had never updated the ACM to automatically lower the radio volume when the reverse sensor sounds. I updated the ACM module tonight with AS-BUILT from a Rear Sensor car . IDS loaded the AS-BUILT and then programmed the ACM. Now my Radio volume lowers when Rear Sensor beeps. Cool ...
