That sucks ... cool that they are going to set it again for no charge. I doubt Ford is gonna redo your PATS for free ... and a tow bill too ...

 

Yeah ... the cost of this is still climbing ...

 

I would make United Radio (after you get your cluster back) refund your money.

They should have warned you of this.

This is my vcm, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without my vcm i am nothing, without me my vcm is nothing.....

 

So how are you liking the cluster?

Did you get the odometer done already?

 

Its a nice upgrade. I did not do the odo.

Once the track apps and gauges are working will be awesome.

My switch arrives Monday.

 

Speaking from experience, I would get that done first.

I still have to get my cluster with proper odo reading on it, and then get PATS done again.

 

jim, quick side question if you have a sec. do you think the 2012 boss cluster would work on a 2011 gt automatic, and if so, would it be difficult to have a dealer program it? the reason i ask is that i'm bored with the stock gauges and it looks like tousley ford has a good deal on the boss cluster.

 

Should be fairly straight forward. The only roadblock you may face is the odo. The dealer will need to do a PATS realearn. ~$110

If all you want is the Boss face, then I would get Black Cat Custom to do them for you for ~$100. gauges.

Unless you are wanting the Boss cluster with the LCD? In that case (did the Boss even have the LCD screen for 2012?) the only roadblock I can think of is that the Boss cluster is set to read signals from the PCM pertaining to the manual tranny. I don't think that is much of an issue, but then ...

 

LCD started with 2013. But I agree, would be cheaper for the custom face

Cluster is on the way back. I now get to pay for a tow and PATS again.

 

I literally cannot wait to see how this turns out. good luck at the stealership, hopefully they can get it right.
