'13-14 Cluster into '10-12 car (with TrackApps) retrofit
Mission not accomplished. Service Rep friend logged me in and then we went into the back to talk to the tech to tell him what I wanted to do and question him about the AS BUILT. While we were in the back the Service Manager saw my Cluster sitting on the Passenger Seat. The Manager questioned the Rep about what was going on and he told him about my swap. They called me over and asked if the mileage of the cluster matched my car. I told them no. Service Manager said sorry .. we are not going to do it unless the mileage matched. He told me send it out and get it set and we will do whatever programming you want but not until the mileage is right.
GRRR .. oh well.
The tech told me that it will pull up the AS BUILT automatically by the VIN. He did say if he tries to put the wrong VIN AS BUILT in there a red light and error will display. He thinks he may be able to override it but he wasn't sure. He said he would try to load the AS BUILT from a 2013 if he could .. but we never got that far.

Your old cluster will not work without another PATS relearn.
I talked to United Radio already. They faxed me a shipping label and the papers to fill out .. I'll send it to them tomorrow. Free ground shipping both ways ... or I can have it next day aired for $17 once they are done.

I double checked with the tech guy. Shouldn't be a problem.
Hi There!
The clusters should be interchangeable at this point as both of them have completed the handshake with the PCM. Still digging for info on making the rest of it work. I’ll keep you posted.
Have a great day!

Crap!! Really?
The Service manager said they would have programmed it for me if I was going to put the original cluster back in before I left. I thought that wouldn't work...
I found a local speedo shop ... he is checking to see if his software supports the 2013 cluster odometer programming

Inconclusive...
We did PATS, and track apps appeared on start-up. The nav error message went away as well.
The LCD guages still not receiving messages. Also, even though track apps is there, it not get info from the PCM either.
We could not upload the data from another car. It was explained to me that the software the dealers use will not allow you to get data from another vehicle from Ford. He will be looking into this on his own time over the next little while to see if he can 'trick' the software. But he cannot go in and turn stuff on or off with what he has. He wants to upload PCM software from another car that is like mine on the lot, and them download it into mine, but they don't have any on the lot right now.
So as of right now with only PATS, track apps appeared but doesn't work, cruise still doesn't work right, and the nav error went away.
One step forward, at least. He'll get back to me next week when he's had a chance to confer with his contacts.

How do you guys make sure that your mileage will match up between the old cluster and the new cluster? When you send it out to reprogram, are you asking them to put a little buffer on it?
Oh yes, that I understand. But let's say you tell them to set the mileage to 6000 (from your last oil change), but then you drive 100 more miles before they get it back to you. Isn't it still wrong?
I'd have to get the 2013 plug diagrams, but I'm willing to bet $ they are the same.
I have the 2012 wiring manual, but for 2013, I have to make trips to the dealer to get them to print certain pages off for me.
