What did you do to your '10-'14 today?

wow, accidents do suck, however I can promise you that Merc while a tank, and possibly less damage wise is going to be more expensive to repair, the bumpers along (minus clips, grills, and various pieces required to mount the bumper to the car frame is going to be a minimum of $200 possibly more if there is more damage to it...Mercadies are really expensive to fix and that is along with Jaguars (ive had both...)
be glad that you don't have to pay $1,000 just to replace a shock, yes that is right I said $1k, I forget which Lexus it is but there is a particular Lexus that 1 shock runs $1k and that is if I am able to get the "dealer/shop" price on it....glad to hear (read) your ok at least

Unless it's stupid cheap, I'm going to skip the GT500 front end for now. Good thing is, when I do it down the road, they won't need to blend paint because the front end is plastic...they don't blend with plastic to metal, because there's always a slight hue difference anyways.
That being said, I'm trying to work the ol' lady over for a Cervini's Stalker hood as an early bday present, since they need to repaint my hood to blend into the fenders anyways. I'll be doing the shaved fenders for sure too. I love the look of my stock grille fogs, but this shaved emblem thing has me considering the CDC upper grille too, and adding the lower CS fogs since I keep getting flashed with my upper fogs on. We'll see. I'll keep you all posted.
I'm also looking at my summer 20" staggered whee options. I have a few that I like, but they're all made in China. I'm trying to find some decently priced MADE IN THE USA wheels, but it's either cheap cast Chinese crap (even the stock wheels are made in China!) or $3-4k for a set of forged US wheels. All the Flow Form stuff are made in China too (including Forgestar ugh).

Well, I dropped the oil yesterday and refilled, reconnected the battery and fired her up for the first time. I was expecting some unhappy noises from the engine but she purred like a kitten (a kitten purring through a bullhorn, but still). Only thing I was lightly concerned about was at about halfway to operating temp (idling in the garage) there was a fairly pronounced tick in time to engine rotation, but only at idle. Even slightly off idle (couple hundred rpm) and the tick would disappear, and by the time it was at operating temp, the noise was gone. She's not insured yet so no driving in the cards, but she lives.

Thanks for that. Given that it was initial warm up from sitting all winter, I wasn't super worried. I've always gone by operating temp. If it doesn't do it at operating temp, its probably nothing.

Installed my tail light sequencers. Love 'em!
It was kind of difficult getting them apart but once I found out how the clips joined then it was ok. Hint: do not over tighten those wing nut things or they will get stripped.

I've been wanting to get these, I had them on my 08.

Apparently, when I did the GT500 valance and GT500 quad mufflers I left the center bolt on the front exhaust hanger on the driver side loose. It has rattle a couple times, so today I pulled it all apart and fixed it. Went much smoother than I was expecting, took me more time putting the car up in the air than fixing the issue!
