Been driving Chrome for almost 2 weeks nice and yes it feels great! Now they are talking mixed snow and rain this weekend - back in the garage for her.

Yep, about 5 inches of snow on the ground already here, and still snowing... No Mustang for a while for me... Good news is that this is just today and next week we're back in the 60's, but still, no driving this weekend, that's for sure...

Sitting here waiting for the shop to do all my fluids. Yes, I succumbed to laziness because I just don't have the time . I brought them all of my Amsoil fluids though. It's funny though how when I pull in and everyone just gets drawn in and hovers, and their mouths drop when they realize she's almost 5 years old. One guy even offered to buy it outright from me. Hilarious. They all said the paint is just immaculate. Thanks. That's how ALL paint should be.

But they're all nice guys though. We chatted some and talked mods. One guy asked me if I could "kick a Shelby's a$$". I politely responded and stated that would be like asking if a skinny geeky nerdy guy who's on major steroids could kick Lou Ferrigno's a$$ back in his heyday. That's all my car is, a geek on steroids. Lol

Also had a recall on the driver air bag sensor that they're taking care of.

On top of that, check out the new 17x20 poster I got from my buddies here. Made my visit worthwhile.

What are they doing about the airbag recall?

As far as I last checked there are no updated parts available ...

That's still the story - our cars are low on the priority list compared to lots of other models.

Correct. I was notified they don't have the parts ready yet. They will let me know.

Thanks Tony and Tom. Very much appreciated. Crazy thing is, I realized how much I love and missed my car after a 5 month absence. I couldn't stop staring at her, and I was all giddy driving her. That love still burns strong 5 years later. Amazing. Thank you Ford.

You parked in a no-parking zone?

Yayy! I think I'll do that tomorrow!

On another note, i swear if you polish your car once more there wont be anything left....

It's not so much what I'm doing to my Mustang, but what I'm doing for it. My garage is tight and I can get the Mustang in, but it's only a matter of time and stupidity before I do damage. You can see the mess I'm dealing with.

I'm in the process of some kind of make-over. The passenger side of the garage is especially worrisome so I'm trying to clear it, consolidate stuff, steal inches, and move things more towards the front. That wall hopefully will be a clean slate, including the fold-down work bench which will be moved under the peg-board tool wall on the other side. Not sure about the floor, perhaps Race Deck tiles or similar in the future.

Not trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear...just something less ugly and cramped.

Lol, right on! Actually, I didn't park in a no Parking zone, my buddies at the shop put it there for me to give it its own "velvet rope" treatment if you will. They were actually pretty proud of it and were so excited to tell me. Lol. I appreciate them and what they did a whole lot.

Agree 100%. Like I said though, the S550 is growing on me, especially a tastefully modded one, and of course the Shelby GT350. The regular GT is just blasehhhh to me.

But thanks Alex for the compliment. As far as polishing, there's hardly any paint /clear coat removal as evidenced by paint thickness tests done before and after. Microns are barely moving. The light polish just essentially removes contaminants from top surface 1x or 2x a year. It smoothes it out and gets a nice canvas for the lsp!!!

Hey on another note, you'll understand this... I cut out major sugars and processed foods from diet... Result? In 4 weeks I dropped from 149 to 142.5, then dropped to low 8% body fat. Also am lifting the same!!!! Washboard starting to show

Still Looks awesome! The S197 just gets better and better as the years go by. Especially yours. Your car is like a time capsule, it's ageless and still looks brand spanking new.

That snow though..

Your garage may be smaller, but it's waaaay nice than my crummy particle board apartment garage. I really need to grow some ***** and take the plunge on buying a house.

How tall are you? I remember when I was 19, I was 6'1 and 155 lbs. That's when I decided I needed to do something about it lol. Now I'm 180 at age 30, but still look pretty thin. I'd probably be 200lbs by now if I didn't give up for a few years here and there. I've been diligent and going to the gym for almost 2 years now though, with no intention of quitting!
