I didn't end up doing it. I had planned on it, and and had the tape all ready, but it was so pretty! Actually, I'm pretty sure the two rock chips came from daily driving the past couple weeks

Oh I gave him crap about it

Jokes aside tho, Patrick, the bad part about those "small" chips is that the Clearbra will now not seal around/over those chips. Which means, there will be a bubble around those chips. It will be bigger than the chip because it won't seal even around it. This is annoying because it makes it more visible now that you have a clear bra

Ask me how I know all this.

Ok I'll tell lol

My wife's car has one. I was too lazy to tape it on the way to the installer that day. It was only 20 miles. And voila. One chip the size of a 1/4 of my pinky fingernail, and now after the Clearbra, it's the size of at least 1/2 the fingernail... It sucks. But eh... What can I do

Looks awesome! What do you mean that the splitter scared you? Afraid it would hit something?

I feel that way on my GTCS spoiler...how much more yours

Looks great Darren. Striping it again?

Curious... Why a new oem bumper? Couldn't you just have put the new grill on your oem bumper?

Anything after my 2012, I haven't kept up lol. How is the 13/14 oem bumper different from Shelby bumper? I figured 13/14 5.0 and shelbies are the same..

Nope. GT500 bumper has been the same 10-14, just different splitters and grilles. He's just saying it's not an aftermarket GT500 bumper...

hey Burton, here's a side by side…
Stripes go on today. I have always preferred the gt500 bumper because of the bigger fogs and the grill openings. If CDC had made a matching lower for their top grill, I might have gone that way. but they didn't. I couldn't find anyone making CF grills for GT's either.

I agree, GT500 bumper ftw. I really don't like the lower grille openings on our stock bumpers, especially that strake molded into the bumper right at that spot.

Is that your stock GT front splitter in the 500 bumper?

nope it's the stock gt500 upper splitter. there's also a lower portion but i need the clearance as it is.

DEFINITELY better with the GT500 bumper. You know if you add a blower and further suspension bits, you might as well have bought a Shelby, right? But yours looks better imo....

Drove it.

Thursday morning it goes in for GT500 Axle Back Exhaust install and remote start. Friday it gets cleaned up and the engine bay will be dressed. I ordered a chadwick clean/sealant kit. In prep for Coffee and Cars Saturday Morning. my uncle invited me to go with him so I figure I would since I'm taking thursday/friday off anyway. I'm not normally a morning person though.

Thank you Tony. Stripes are on. No more anxiety. all done. the image is complete. for now. time for invisible mods.

Speaking of mods, you have been very quiet lately…are you planning something big? or just busy? any planned changes to your green machine?
